What my phone camera didn't really show is the houses on the hill that it's creeping up to. Hopefully they get this one under control quick but it's been windy up here all day pushing it around, just from what we could see at the shop it grew pretty quick this afternoon.

Not really no, this last storm that was supposed to get us something like 10", we got maybe 3ish. Hopefully this isn't a sign of what's to come this year.

The worst part is.....less money for firefighters this year thanks to the ass hats in DC. It gonna be ugly.....so heartbreaking!

Just ran up to the lake to kill a few packs and the news trucks were packing up to leave, hopefully a good sign.

Last I heard was 80%, mostly burning in lory state park sounds like. I think they got a real good handle on it today though, smoke was pretty hard to see rising today. Was crazy to go to the comp spot and see flames on the other side of the lake. It was started by a person, no word yet on how. Most likely someone picked the windiest day of the week to burn leaves or something retarded.

It's really surprising (and sad) how often you see that happening here. I see it all the time on my way to work and home again. It makes you wonder what people are thinking sometimes.

Each and every time I see one get flicked, I just want to yank the guy (or girl) out and slap the shit outta them.

I nearly lost my house to a forest fire some years ago. Never do I want to repeat that.

I hope this recent snow helps. I know that it's off thread but horsetooth needs the moisture. I don't like seeing the mountains that I live, play, and camp in burn up.
