Default Sheep Mountain (Between Loveland & Estes)

I'm going to head out there on Monday (Memorial Day) afternoon if anyone wants to join me. I was thinking around 1400 hours or so, but we can change the time if need be.

It may be a bit too sketchy for a six year old. It's steep and narrow with long steep slopes on the down side of the trail. I'll leave that up to you. I'd bring my kiddos, but only if we were hiking (no RC's). I'm afraid the distraction could be disastrous. My oldest is five. maybe use this run to scout it out this time. I'll leave that up to you.

It's a few miles or so. It's really beautiful up at the top.

Is there a parking fee? I will be taking the losi, i couldnt get the wrek up and going. I probly only have 1 1/2 hr of drive time since my new battery didnt show up. Well i guess it wont be a long hike but i should be there unless something comes up. Your still planing on meeting at 2 correct.

Too bad my GoPro died... Fiona chased a 2.5 ft. rattler off the trail.

Is it in its own area or is it off of a parking area with a different name? Was there a sign?

It has its own parking lot. There is a park on the other side of the road (where the power plant was washed away in the flood). It's on the south side of the road, about a half mile past the hill that opens up to two lanes to allow for passing (in the canyon, past the narrows).

I just looked it up again and it says its in the round mountain trail head parking. That sucks because i pulled into that lot to let people go by me. Lol
