-Each registered truck will be required to have a minimum of 10 scale points, 25 points maximum will be applied to the drivers overall score.
(Event organizers are not responsible for adding your scale points, that being said if you do not have the required points to run in the event you will not be allowed to run.)

-All obstacles will be based on time/distance traveled. See judging criteria below.
-All obstacle times/distance will be converted to points and tallied with scale points, the drivers with the most points wins.

Preparation.
-A Top Truck Challenge is designed to test the limits of you the driver and your rig.

-Your truck will get wet and dirty. Waterproofing is highly recommended.
-Drivers will have the option to skip an obstacle, receive a "0" score for the obstacle and move on to the next without a DQ for the event.

-Winches are not required but highly recommended. Functional items sunch as pull pals, tow ropes and the like must be carried on the truck at all times if they are to be used on course.

-No hand of god. Trucks must be righted under their own power to progress through the obstacle.

Typical Events:
Hill Climb, Sled Pull, Mud Bog, Mini Rubicon, Obstacle course and Tank Trap.

Hill Climb
Time/Distance
Course will be constructed so that it continually progresses up a steep grade. The course will include multiple “gates” which the competitor must complete (all 4 wheels must go thru the gate). The course will include very steep dirt climbs and off camber sections.
Vehicles will progress thru the designated course until which time the truck either goes out of bounds or cannot make farther forward progress. Positions will be determined first by times of full runs and then by distance covered through the last gate progressed after the driver can no longer make forward progress or an out of bound is called.

Sled Pul
Time/Distance
Competitors will pull a designated vehicle/weight along a track. Places will be determined first by full pull times and then by distance (if a vehicle does not make a full pull).

Mud Bog
Time/Distance
Course will be constructed of a trench filled with mud. The course will include multiple “gates” which the competitor must complete (all 4 wheels must go thru the gate). Vehicles will progress thru the designated course until which time as they either go out of bounds or cannot make farther forward progress. Positions will be determined first by times of full runs and then by distance covered through the last gate progressed after the driver can no longer make forward progress or an out of bound is called.

Mini Rubicon
Time/Distance
Course will be constructed of large rocks/boulders/inclines.
Vehicles will progress thru the designated course until which time as they either: go out of bounds or cannot make farther forward progress. Positions will be determined first by times of full runs and then by distance covered.

Obstacle course
Time/Distance
Course will be constructed of rocks/water holes/logs/tight turns etc. Vehicles will progress thru the designated course until which time as they either: go out of bounds or cannot make farther forward progress. Positions will be determined first by times of full runs and then by distance covered.

Tank Trap
Time/Distance
Course will be constructed so that it progresses up a grade. The course will include deep mud holes/ruts/steep inclines.
A set time will be given before the start of the event, each competitor has until the end of that time to complete the obstacle.
Vehicles will progress thru the designated course until which time as they either go out of bounds, cannot make farther forward progress or are out of time. Positions will be determined first by times of full runs and then by distance covered.

Rules
-Have fun! This is the ultimate test of man and toy machine and its all about a good time.

Winching
-Vehicles may use onboard winches. No penalty will incur. Judges will watch to make sure that only the winch/vehicle cause movement of the vehicle. Any movement brought on by the driver will result in the stopping of the run (you will be scored where the clock is stopped). Drivers must use natural winch points or another rig. No winching off shoes, hands, etc. Winches may be used to “unstuck” vehicle or right a rolled vehicle. They may also be used to stabilize a vehicle during a climb.

Repairs
-On course repairs are not allowed. Break on course, time is stopped and the driver will received appropriate points for the last gate progressed on course.
-Off course repair is allowed. After your repair is done, you move to next course to move the day along.
-If you can't repair your rig you will get a DNF for any and all courses not finished.
-Recovery tools must be carried on rig and then placed back on rig after each use. ie. pullpal, tow strap.
-Drivers may choose to skip a course and take a 0 score / DNS for the skipped course.

-Hill Climb, Sled Pull and Mud Bog courses will be judged on gates progressed with no reverses or gates allowed, drivers have two attempts with a best of final score and a finish bonus for finishing the course.

-Gates or Out Of Bounds makers hit during a run will call for a stop time and and the driver will receive appropriate points for the last gate progressed on course.

-Rubicon, Obstacle Course and Tank Trap courses will be judged on gates progressed with reverse and gate penalties against the drivers final score with a finish bonus for finishing the course.
Scoring:

-Times & distances per obstacle will be calculated in to 1-20 points by the judge to be combined for your over all score. -Scale points will be added to the overall score for your total score of the day.

-Drivers will receive the point score for for the amount of gates progressed on each course. A driver will accrue a finish bonus of 5 points for each finished course.

Event scoring:
Highest total wins. In the event of a tie, lowest accumulated time wins. If a tie happens and 1 of the participants has a dnf while the other does not, the participant with no dnf is the winner. Should both parties have an equal amount of dnf’s, the dnf’s will be thrown out and the lowest remaining time will be the winner.

I think that covers it, please post up if you have any questions comments or concerns "thumbsup"

You can run both 1.9 and 2.2? Will they both be on the same course?

Drivers may run both classes, if time allows. If all the slots get filled "2 class" drivers will have to choose which class they would run so we're not there ALL day. Both Class 2 and 3 trucks will run on the same courses and judged within each class.

You thinking of running the Bronco in both classes? You couldn't beat Pepe before, I don't expect much of a change this time....

I'd love to run reduced Pitbulls on 1.9's on Guido but Class 2 rules won't let me. Standard 1.9's are too small for that pig.

I think thats something we should vote on as a group, personally I don't mind it, the terrain is contactly changing throughout the day.

He might be better off with the stock Honcho, at least it doesn't break down after each course...
