Southern Colorado Scale Series 2015/2016
 

The Southern Colorado Scale Series is a 4-5 comp point series to bring together the RC scaling commmunity of Southern Colorado and to determine the best drivers in each scale class for the state!

Series Points
-This will be a points series, new point system for 2015/16. 1st place will receive 100 points, 2nd. 95 points, 3rd. 90 and so on.
-The driver(s) with the best score on each course will get 1 bonus point.
-There will be one "drop" for the series, ie; a drivers lowest comp score will be drop from his/her total score for the series.

Drivers wanting their scores to be tracked for the Series Scale off will have a one time $10 series pay-in by the second comp of the series. Series pay-ins will help pay for comp supplies and trophies/prizes for the overall winners.

Comp details:
CSS comps will use the SORCCA rules and vehicle class guidelines for each event. All vehicles must fall into SORCCA technical guidelines for classes 1, 2 and 3.

Scale Comp Course Design
A competition will consist of 3-5 seperate courses for each class.

A course will comprise of 10-15 gates with a minimum of 5 minutes time for completion per course.

A gate will be marked with at least 2 gate markers spaced a minimum of 16 inches apart. Arrows on the gate markers or chalk marks will denote the direction or progress through the gate.

Class 1, Class 2, Class 3 will have separate courses.

Scale Points.
All vehicles must be teched and scale points tallied by yourself prior to the start of an event. If you questions about scale points or how to tally scale points, post up here and we will help you out.
Scale points however have nothing to do with vehicle legality, just the bonus points you will receive for the scale details of each truck you enter. Vehicles will be teched at the beginning of the day for class legality.

Wooohoo first scale comp of the season is in the books. Big thanks to all that attended. Hope you all had as much fun as I did. Shout out to Aaron, Donnie, Clay, and Jeff for helping setup and tear down. Look for the next scale comp to be held before Thanksgiving.

UpDate: Some weather looks to be moving in Friday with little to no snow. Saturday will have some sun to melt that snow off. Sunday looks to be decent for some outdoor fun. Dress warn cause it'll be chilly in the morning. We are still on for the Scale Comp! We got The Crawl Space coming down to also host their series as well. This should make for some good competition between both regions. If you don't want to comp and just watch that's more than fine.

Weather treated us right today for the Southern Colorado Scale Series Comp #2. Had Ikaika Farrior with The Crawl Space also hosting the Northern Scale Series along side. Lots of great people and sweet trucks. Very fun rubbing elbows with the north end guys, and seeing how others drive. Conditions were awesome considering a little snow on the ground. Courses were "tight" in some spots but I think everyone was up to the challenge. Scores are being tallied and should be posted tonight or tomorrow. Thanks to all that attended and or helped setup/ clean up it was much appreciated. Keep an eye out for the next scale comp coming up very soon.

No worries man! I'm glad you came out and had fun. Seems like the bug has biten you....that's a good thing. Keep an eye on this thread for the next comp. I'm thinking the weekend after the super bowl.
