Default wanting to paint my scx10 deadbolt

I just got a axial scx10 deadbolt and was wanting to paint it, but I have no idea what the body is made of or what paint to use on it. Thank you in advance for yalls input

You need to use lexan paint only. If you do t it will flake and you'll need to paint it again.

Really? with it being so flimsy didnt think it was lexan. would it be possible to use bedliner on the body? would really like to bed line the body and the frame

ok so bed liner on the body is out. how would it affect it if it did it to the frame instead and what is the best brand of paint to use to paint the body.

timya (iam sure i misspelled that) or i thinks its called fascolor cant remember but the frame rails you could probably get away with normal paint seeing as there not as flimsy as the body

I use red automotive scotch bright and scuff till it is hazy everywhere I want paint then I wash it with warm water wipe with clean paper towels and then I use spaxx stixx lexan cleaner spray. I also wear latex gloves while preparing the body to spray and while painting. Tamiya lexan paint is good along with fascolor.
