Default Crawling East of Longmont CO? THIS SATURDAY

Anyone want to meet up Saturday (in Longmont) and go up for some crawling and scout out possible crawling places?

I drove up the canyon today and found some very promising spots. I want to go drive them and get pics and report back for next weekends Colorado crawl.

The spots are right off the highway, no 4wd needed. I might drive into Bunce and check my favorite spot for snow but might not.

Welcome to ride up with me if only one or two want to go.

Well, went up tonight and crawled some pretty sweet spots.

Here is the "dream spot" but requires a bit of off roading to get to. (not much only 1 mile and I was in a 2wd ranger)

Can't see it but a spring Rocky Mountain snow storm was blowing thru when I took those pics. About 40mph wind gusts and probably 35deg and I didn't hang around up there long!

So I headed back towards the "Parking Lot" area to scout that for crawling. There are some awsome spots there, lots of parking (could park 50 cars there easy):

Heres some pics including my truck to give you and idea that the "best" spot is pretty accesable...

Then I headed down the canyon towards Lyons CO. Scouted out a couple of spots from yesterdays trip. Not as nice but still pretty good:

So I started down the canyon and found one more good spot:

To the best spot is about 25 miles from longmont. The closest cuts about 10 miles off that...

Camp/crawl at the best spot will happen this summer.
