Default searching

I have noticed the search tool here has a minimum word length for search terms, which I understand, not taxing the server with terms like "at" or "a" but there are certain terms like "jr" or "1.9" which would return useful information. I don't know that much about databases, but would it be possible to include exceptions for valid 2 character search terms, or to exclude useless ones? I can work around it if it's too hard to change, it just seems like a good way to improve the search tool.

I just came across this too. I was searching for "cc bec", as thats how everyone refers to the castle creations product and got the same too short notice.

Not just that but even if you put in something like XC-1 which is longer then 3 characters. How come it will not find this?

It does if you know how to use it. I posted examples in the other thread you replied to in Chit chat.
