The server is slow during peak hours because the server is currently overloaded. I am planning on adding another server and splitting the Apache server and Database server onto their own servers but I need to purchase memory for the spare server before I can install it.

the board has been running extremely slow for the past couple weeks. today was the first time in a while i was able to make a post. its only slow when you log in, not when your browsing the site as a guest. this really needs to be checked into because i know a couple other guys ive talked to on the phone have the same problem, its just they cant log in.

I looked into your problem after you posted last time but just forgot to get back to you. I don't see anything wrong with your account that would cause that problem and your the only one that has complained to me about the issues you are seeing.

I would contact your ISP or look into the health of your PC to try and resolve it.

im able to log in today which is good. maybe its fixed. its not my computer because i tried from my work computer and home computer, as well as my cousins laptop. being in the computer field all my life, my computer is spyware/adware free and runs a good anti virus 24/7. it could be the isp as all the computers i connect thru are technically opton online, but i dont see why other sites i visit are fine. not really sure as i said before some other people i talked to seem to have the same problem, its when they log in and not when browsing as a guest. with an average of 500 people online all the time im curious if the forum server is up to the task of hosting. what kind of ram and processor is running this server? if your in need of ddr2 i might have some matched sticks of 2gb i could donate. i also have a extra dual core amd sitting around somewhere as well. let me know and il try to post again tomorrow.

We installed a double secret Noob_superdouche filter. Seems to be working.

What a coincidence! I've been working in the IT field since I was 3. I remember trying to go to the office wearing big boy pants, half way through the morning I shit my pants. I tried to act like nothing happened but I knew the other executives could smell what I had for breakfast. Needless to say, that was the most embarrasing day of my life, I still wear diapers to this day because of it.

You realize that server hardware and PC hardware is not interchangeable? Thanks anyway though.
