Because we have sections for the trucks they start out as. Like a Clod, or the TXT.

A lot of newbes don't know where they start from, maybe it would be a good Idea to have one. Might help the class grow.

Maybe I've over thinking it. Just looking at a couple build threads in each section....it's pretty easy to see which is a super and which is not solely on the wheels and tires they all run. |

Its not as simple as you guys think, a lot of info if your starting from scratch. I'm sure when I get to 323,784 posts i'll have it all wired, but in the mean time cliff notes would be nice. Not real newbee friendly, can't post pictures, view ads, etc... I know I don't have a star. |

| That is why there are stickies at the top of EACH section. They give you the basic rundown of that section (whether it be which ESC is "best" or "how to turn your TLT into a crawler"). It's best to review these before you start your build!! |

But,back in 2003/2004,I didn't know JACK about RC Cars at all. Spent countless hours reading and learning. It was even harder to build back then when there were no crawler specific parts anywhere. Building from a pile of aluminum scraps and odds and ends you stole off of an Emaxx, THATS starting from scratch. We are spoiled now, today building a crawler is to easy. Like suggested already, reading the stickies in each forum will help ALLOT. There's TONS of good info there. I've seen some try to build the biggest/baddest super with all the latest and greatest new items and shortly after, get discouraged and sell out. Just because they couldn't figure it out. Keep in mind,a guy doesn't have to have a super with all the latest gizmos just to have fun and be competitive. | |
