The search works just fine IMHO. Allot of the time, guys have trouble cause they search entire threads. If guys would search titles only, the search works better 10 to 1 |

We all know how to search. I am not a newb but I have searched for stuff, either not found anything or found a bunch of extra stuff that didn't contain any of the "keywords". Posted up on what I was searching for only to be told that it has already been talked about. And then I responsibly delete the thread I created I am not complaining I am just trying to make the site I love so much even better Last edited by HOTH; 10-22-2009 at 12:32 AM. Reason: You know? |

I've been playing a little with the search and I think if you could make it where all findings must contain all keywords and not just as long as the findings contain a word from any of the keywords. Does this make sense. If I missed this option let me know. |

Correct. Here's an example. I searched for "rod end" First search was in the "entire thread" mode. It brought back more options, but threads ranged from legit rod end tech to for sale ads to club info threads to competition sign up threads. A guy would spend allot of time reading those to find any info. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/searc...archid=1107657 Second search was in the "titles only" mode. It brought back less results, but it would be allot easier to sift through and find the info your looking for. Most are tech threads, only a few classifieds threads. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/searc...=1107661&pp=25 | |

To my limited knowledge this site is SQL based. So using some symbols like + - "" ** works wonders when searching especially in advanced mode.
