| New sub forum idea
I would like to make a proposal. I think a great addition to the forum would be two new sections which can only be posted in by the mods. They would contain all of the epic builds, one for scalers and one for the comp style rigs. I think this will achieve two things, one it provide a section for noobs to go to and get 90% of the information they need because (and I was guilty too) they don't use the search feature, and two it will clean up the tech thread stickies. Just a thought I wanted to put out there for the powers to be to mull over.

It would be cool to see this. Especially to try and save some of the pictures, such as the builds from back in the day like Ace's TLT, the original Ralph build, they Hydro Scorpion, etc.

So how do "we" go about picking these builds? Its a really cool idea, I for one would have a hard time choosing which ones to move though. |

I was talking to Ryan Gerrish about this a couple weeks ago because I had never seen his 2010 Dorkstar Hybrid build because I don't have time to browse around and enjoy RCC anymore and that build is a prime example of what should be in the all star build forum. We could easily copy all star build threads into a new forum but the problem would be that the copied thread would not get updates from the builder unless he updated both threads which is not realistic. The other thing we can do is move the thread into the new forum then move it back to the original forum leaving a permanent redirect link, the problem with this is that the redirect links don't get updated or bumped when the original build thread is updated. I love the idea of this but I just haven't been able to figure out a good solution, although I really haven't put that much thought into it. |

Ok so how about it gets moved once a build is completed and tested. All it would take is for the author of the thread to be contacted by that forums mod or for the author to contact mod to get the ball rolling. Just a thought.

| Or just move it and let it forever only reside in the All-Star forum.

Could something like this just be left as a permanent relink but say something like: "Moved to All-Star" or just "All-Star build"

Or,just post a thread in the all-star forum that just contains a link to the build.

Theres way to many bad ass comp/scaler builds to beable to organize a seperate forum without leaving out alot of people in my opinion.

| There is a difference between bad ass and EPIC though. Builds that are so far beyond the current at the time are what need to be showcased. Think back at what was available when JIA built the Hyrdo scorpion!

Yeah your right but if the point is to let newbs get updated faster on whats what, the "epic" builds like the one you discribed, might just be too dated. Maybe it should just be an archive of "the epics" just for people to reflect on and remember.

Like badger, I had also missed RBG new build until last night. It would have been awesome to see it highlighted in a section like that. | |
