Advanced Search Question First is there a Quick and easy guide to advanced search? Can you use a hash, wildcards or boolean operators in the search expressions? For example, to search for softtop and soft top, you would normally use an expression like soft#top, but that doesn't seem to work here. The board seems to default to AND for the boolean function, but I can't get OR to work. |
So as much as people bitch about people not using search, no one is willing to help me determine how to use the tool? |
I know what you mean, i'll be watching this thread as sometimes I get frustrated with the search function. the google method works well, and has no wait time lol, but not practical. http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/7528/sdadasda.jpg |
As far as I can tell a lot of the "Code" features for the advanced search have been turned off on this board because they are standard on the vBulletin package. But then again, I just may not know what the heck I am doing. Though I am willing to bet if I posted and asked if anyone has done a JK Truck with a Bed, I would get slammed for not using the search. :lmao: |

That was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you very much, too bad we have to use Google to search our board though. Quote:

I put JK* truck bed into the search and got two hits... |
so the wildcard get you past the 3 char minimum and then the engine must concatenate automatically. No + then because when I did that I received hundreds of hits. |
