Default New Social Group permissions

I changed a couple Social Group settings to allow group owners (the member who created the group) more control over their social group.

I enabled the following two options:

Allow Join-to-View Groups
If this option is selected, any users with albums will be able to add pictures from an album to groups they belong to.
Allow Group Owners to Limit New Discussions to Themselves
Allows users to create Groups where only they can create new discussions.

Sounds good,is there a way to have your groups discussions hidden
from those who are not a part of the group?

Yep, if you created the group (group owner) then go into your groups page and at the bottom of the page (just above the google ad) you will see a link called "Edit Group", click on that link and make sure the Group Type is set to Invite Only and then in the Group Options section click the check mark box next to Users must join to view the content
