First, this is not a global movement we are talking about, its a for sale section on a website.

Second, I would agree with you if the owners were oppressive and overly controlling of the members of this site. They are not. The rules they have set up for the FS section are very easy to understand, and if you are serious about this genre of the rc world, it is easy to achieve the goals they have put forth to access said FS section.

As simple as those rules are, they work very well. Scammers are generally lazy, cheap, and impatient. They won't hang around long enough to generate 30 good posts, wait 30 days, or shell out $20 for instant access.

Any instances there might be of someone getting ripped off are few and far between, and those instances that were not resolvable misunderstandings typically result in those people being banned from the FS section or the site as a whole.

I did b/c I'm finally building a crawler, and you never know what kind of parts you may stumble upon in the fs section, plus I'm a member of numerous forums and this is one of the better ones. I don't mind spending a little because I have found way more than $20 in information and inspiration...

I agree... The information that I've got from this site has been worth the 20bux... Not counting the endless awesome deals I get from the sale section... Yes I do check it about every 30 min..lol but u have to be on the ball to fet the good deal.. U snooze u lose... I was also hesitate about getting a star.. After I had my 30 post and could get on the classified section.. But then realized how important this site was for info and great deals.. Anybody hesitating paying the fees just go ahead I promise itll b worth it either by info u acquire or a hellova deal... That's just my .02 and yeah everyone vets foamed from time to time but I've realize it mostly the dickheads and they're on every site, but most of the ol tymers round here are very eager and happy to help u out....but make sure u search what ur asking b4 asking don't b lazy and want someone to do the searching for ya

You guys are forgetting one thing. This is the Comments, Suggestions, and Help forum. look at the top of the page. If they don't want to hear suggestions, then take this section out. Plain and simple. And if you guys want to consider what I say as biotching or whatever lame spelling you want to give it, so be it. It's a suggestion in the suggestion section where suggestions belong. It's not like I am asking an MOA question in the scaler section. This was posted where it is designated to go. Sometimes things need to be said over and over. That's why things like voting work. I know this isn't a democracy and that it is privately owned, regulated, and they have the right to make the rules however they want, but if they didn't want to hear from users, then please tell me why this section exists. It allows those in charge to see what the people want. If it was only stated one time by one person, the the ruling party would think that only that one person felt that way.

Besides, if you read my posts, then you would see one very important thing. That is that I would like to see some things change but do not want to compromise the integrity of the way things are.

If anyone needs to stop complaining, it's the people who oppose the idea of others making suggestions in the suggestion section. Stay the heck out of the suggestion section if you don't want to hear suggestions. That's as easy to understand as the sales forum requirements. If you can't handle it, put the crayons down and walk away.

You are right, nobody forced me here, and nobody forced you to read a post in the suggestion section. You and the other like you are the ones who complain the most. Always complaining about what others say, ask, or want. You are either menstrual or mental or both.

Overall, I simply had some suggestions. Albeit, suggestions that the non noobs are against. Don't read this section if you don't want to hear it. You know enough about what goes on here to know how to avoid reading it. I am allowed to make these suggestions in the section unless I'm missing something. And if I am, please inform me. Seriously, pm me and tell me what I did wrong by posting a suggestion in the suggestion section. I am lost as to why this is so bad.

I'm sure you are tired of it, but again, it was the SUGGESTION SECTION. I was making suggestions that were different from what I had read others saying. I wasn't complaining. I suggested hiding names while allowing viewing, or only showing completed sales. No complaining there. But then people come in complaining about complaining. Sounds pretty silly to me to complain about complaining. That's like posting up anti-poster posters, or ordering a meatless ham sandwich. Whatever. I would be happy with just seeing. How about just letting me stand over your shoulder while you look.

By the way, why would you have "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who matter don't mind and those that mind don't matter. ~ Dr. Seuss" in your sig, but try to tell people that they shouldn't say what they want to say in a sections that seems to permit saying such things? I don't get it.

Originally our for sale section was wide open, with no restrictions. People got screwed non-stop.

Then we implemented the current restrictions and a TON of the scamming went away. About a year or 2 ago we changed the rules so it was wide open again and people could post replies again ect, it lasted less than 2 weeks, people hated it.

Thanks for making your suggestions, but having tried a few different ways this is the setup that is working for our community at this time.

I honestly can't understand why its so hard to post legitimate questions 30 times and be a member for 30 days if one does not want to support the website.

Why be here if your only intrested is the for sale section? Websites cost money, they are not free. You come here to get the nest advice for crawling and related information. There is a reason this website is the largest crawler website on the web

Is it truthfully worth the fight to see the for sale section despite the masses being comfortable in knowing the reasoning why its like it is and having the satisfaction in feeling safer with our sales?

I'm not only interested in the sale section. That never was my only focus. I simply had a suggestion. But, I am wanting to either get a Wraith or an SCX10, and the sale section would help me decide based on average cost of parts and trucks. The sooner I decide the sooner I can preorder if I choose to go that route.

There was no march. Simply a statement. It would have ended at that statement but I kept going due to the stupid remarks made by folks that don't understand the simple concept of a suggestion and a persons right to want something. There was no implied sense of entitlement on my behalf. Only and IDEA. A CONCEPT. Just a "maybe if it was done like this" kind of notion. So what if I want to look. In all honesty, is 30 days and 30 posts really all that bad? I don't see it being a big deal, give some feedback on peoples builds, compliment some paintjobs, just be sociable and use the site for 30+ days and boom, your in there.

I think the fact that we see so many new members crying over no FS section just proves many people only come here for the FS section, and justifies why the 30 day 30 post rule. I bought a membership after I had acess to it.

Everyone is so used to things being free and instant that something so simple, like just showing you can be a positive member of a forum, not just someone who wants nothing more than to buy/sell stuff, is unheard of. This rule keeps a lot of scammers, spammers, and scummers off RCC, it also keeps un necessary posts from clogging up the servers and keeping things running smoothly.

Please stop beating that dead horse over in the corner, hasn't he had enough? (We really need the dead horse being clubbed by smilies, smilie, it would be so usefull, more. So than the pands that turns into a mushroom....there is a good suggestion)
