i like the signs thanks for the idea - my backyard course has been named the proving grounds r/c off road park. its a comp area for 1.9 thru supers - then there are scale and g6 courses covering a few acres with wooden bridges, trenches and hill climbs - so basically my yard is dedicated to r/c's with parking for 40 plus cars, and room for another 50 at the fire departments over flow lot 1/8 of a mile away. i'd love to have a huge bbq with 50 or more people coming to comp

I'll get some picks of our course. It's not scale but lots of fun.

I also thing a sub-forum dedicated to course building, trail building, backyard ORV park building, rock stacking, mud hole making, rope bridge building, "rock garden" designing, disguising rc trails as landscaping, among other things, would be awesome.

Any word on this. I getting ready to start building a course in my back yard. It would be nice to have a place specifically for this. Otherwise I guess I'll post under general scale talk.... or maybe under tools and proceedures.... or maybe under Scale Accessories.... not sure where to put it.

| Re: New Crawler Course / RC ORV Park forum? Any Interest? That was sort of the point of starting the thread but despite what seemed like a lot of interest, views, likes, etc., ... there was zero response on the topic from RCC, not a yes, not a no, not a maybe, not a response. I would consider it a dead thread & post where ever it makes sense to you... |

i'd say the general forum, since that'll get the most traffic...it is a shame there's no dedicated forum for it...would be good timing too, since summer is coming up and people will be willing to work on courses outdoors...

I too wonder why this idea hasn't gotten anywhere. I found a cool write up on how to make stone garden lights which would make a cool addition to your landscaping/scale course and you can use the tecniques to make parts of a course, but there is nowhere to put it. I thought about putting in the tools and procedures forum but it doesn't seem like it belongs there. Anyway, here is what I'm talking about http://www.stonecraftsite.com/columnlights/index.html |

Bringing this back up, went hunting for some how too on ttc courses because I found a local short course track to let me help do a crawler course in the back. 1 section would simplify this greatly, and help really any fledgling place looking to get started into crawling immensely I think.

I really like those stone garden lights, those would work well in my front yard even without a crawler course |

Let's try this for a while and see how it goes. RC Scale Trail I would move everyone's threads that already exist there for people, except being it is only a "Sticky" and not it's own section, the only way I can move them is as a "merge" and that would be a mess having EVERYTHING in one single post. So I ask everyone that has a current thread going with your course, track etc... To please either create a post in that sticky, or post up a link to your existing thread. I know it is not it's own section..... But it's a start . Last edited by THX_138; 09-01-2012 at 01:59 PM. |

Even if you only just post reply to the thread with a link to your course/trail I can then do the leg work for you and move the images over to your post under your own name . |
