Mods. I need a clarification.

And got a pm telling me about vending and yada yada. I don't see how doing this for one guy is a big deal but I don't want a problem.

Pretty simple. He asked for a vendor, and you are not one. Vendors pay money for the ability to sell their services here...

And if he wouldn't have asked for a vendor? It's the same thing as asking where he can go to buy some tires. I could recommend ----.com or I could say I have a pair I don't need. I'm not trying to mass produce anything. I just have a friend that makes his own decals for his race cars.

If you make a specific thing for a specific person for money you need to be a vendor. If he didn't specify he wanted a vendor, then you direct him to one.

There is also the little rule about selling things outside of the classifieds section. Unless you're a vendor, you can't do it. ;-)

BENDER is a mod and mods have vendor status as well as mod status. If you're just "a Bender", then what are you doing in the paint and body section

rambuller...offering a service, even to just one person, is against the rules. The problem is that others see it and start PMing you for that service as well. Next thing you know, word gets around and people start selling on the side. Not saying you would do that, but it's happened before. That's probably why you were PM'd.

Gotcha. I'll see what my buddy says. It was just a one time thing but maybe there's enough money to be made to get a star..?

I think that question is answered in this post:

Feeler threads will be deleted without notice. If you continue to create them you will be warned, then banned, not necessarily in that order.

Thanks.
