My box is getting full and I've weeded out the ones I don't want.

When I try to save them as txt on my computer, it works, but replaces the title with the date. That's not gonna work. I'll never be able to find anything.

I can rename them one by one as I transfer them to the hard disk, but hopefully there's an easier way? Please??

Some of them. Some had back & forth I wanted to keep. But there may be some redundancies I can find and trash.

But that's not a long term solution. I need to archive stuff and was hoping I could do it with the titles intact. Thought perhaps I wasn't doing it right.

Edit -- Okay I think I have something that works. I can move them a full page of pm's at a time. The transfer applies today's date to that entire batch, so to move a second batch I just have to rename it. The batch name won't tell me what's inside, but I can open and scan thru the batch where I still see the original titles. Confusing to explain, but once you've done it...it's workable.

Quick easy way would be to simply save screen shots of whatever you want in your photos.

The way it worked out is fine. I have three "batches" of pms on my drive. Each document is several pages long and contains about 30 messages. You can scroll top to bottom in seconds to find what you're looking for. And saving all three took only seconds once I knew what to do.

I'll have to try it as well. I need to "open some space" in my PM's (already weeded out most I don't want).

I really like when doing PM's, the other person just adds on to the existing PM so I have 1 with everything in it, not a handful of PM's relating to the same thought.

Yes, yes, yes, I "could" get a gold star. Eventually I would end up in the same spot.

Save the txt files then search the documents for keywords or usernames.
