Thread title change
 

I was able to change my thread title in the SCX10 section in the past but now it doesn't update.

I'd like it changed to "Buxom Melons: Class 2 VW Beetle"

When you tried to update (edit) did ya go into the advanced edit option?

yup.
I changed the title but it only changed in the post header, not in the main thread titles.

EDIT: Here's a pic of the two different titles.

Changed.

Users are no longer able to change titles. It is to try and keep the search engine optimization working as best as possible. Every time a title is changed, it is seen as a different thread rather than the same thread with a new name.

Not to mention thread title changes also gobble up CPU/Memory resources on the server side and can actually drag the forum speed down.

Good reason to routinely optimize the tables as that should correct the problem.

So whats right? Thats how it was explained to me by one of my host's...
