Default E-bay in forsale forum

I was thinking about this at work today.. Paypal will only dispute a claim if it is was made through ebay if i understand them, I was thinking maybe it might be an idea to allow ebay links only if they have a "buy it now" option. I was thinking maybe if it was made a requirement then it would add protection to buyers who use paypal, and maybe it would limit fraud a bit. Just an idea.

My understanding is,They will only back you if you have some kind of delivery confirmation. That is why I only use Paypal shipping (so freaking easy) for my shipments. If they use a money order, get delivery confirmation,it's worth the extra price. In all of my Ebay deals ,I've never had a problem from my shipping end.
Ebay belongs on ebay.

Don't get me wrong here but, this is a free forum and should be kept that way.If you want to sell(or buy) then just go to Ebay.

That's because Ebay owns paypal.

I bought a servo on another forum that wasn't showing up. I filed a claim with paypal and conveniently the servo was shipped the same day I filed it along with tracking. So the guy was trying to scam me until the paypal claim went through. So it doesn't have to be through ebay to file a claim.

No it doesn't, but if that person did not ship you the servo and you continued with the claim Paypal would more then likely not have refunded your money since you did not purchase it through ebay.

When I found out about Paypal not refunding claims when not purchased through ebay (thanks Dustin), I removed my debit card as a payment option and transferred my paypal balance to my credit card. Now anytime I make a payment with paypal the payment comes from my credit card which will back any purchase I make. Screw paypal.
