Inbox 50 message limit

Peon that I am here at RCC, I would like to propose that the inbox be limited by size (in MB) rather than number of messages. As a geek, I can tell you that inboxes full of text (as opposed to pics) compress very nicely on the server and take up almost no disk space, plus they require almost zero bandwidth to send & receive.

Why am I requesting this? One word: CLASSIFIEDS. We need a way to protect our purchases & sales through tracking via the inbox as proof of what actually transpired in the conversations with sellers & buyers. Yes there are also PayPal and shipping digits, but things like condition of the item, actual agreements given & taken are only in the inbox.

Furthermore, I've noticed that sometimes adverts in the Classifieds get deleted. I'm not sure if this is the mods' or the sellers' doing, but either way, the record of what is being sold including its description and picture(s) go the way of the dinosaur, making what's in the inbox all the more valuable.

If the mods are of the opinion that changing the inbox is too much trouble, perhaps 2 kinds would be in order: those with & those without a purchased gold star to support RCC? I don't know whether that's even possible as it depends on the server software, but it's a thought.

If you buy a star your inbox size increases. It goes up further with the other levels of stars.

100 for green
200 for gold

30,000 for the 3 red star guys

The inbox will continue to be limited by message count.

I have increased the private message limit to 300 for green star members and to 500 for gold star members. Vendors still have 1000.

That's 100% me. Believe it or not Harley had absolutely nothing to do with up making the change even though everyone thinks he owns the place.
