How do I stop the pop up question?
 

It's the one that asks if I want to use your forum software that I have to purchase. It pops up way too often and is insanely annoying. If I had realized this forum was being spammed like this I wouldn't have joined!!

Maybe ok for you... Why don't you come over and shut it off every time it pops up. There's a reason stuff like this is considered malware.

Probably an Apple setting or option.
I don't see anything on my phone/tablet/computer.
Check your phone options.

It did the same thing to me, I looked through settings and bingo bamo I found it. Took me a whole 3mins.

I think he's talking about the tapatalk (or whatever it's called) pop up that co Es up when you log in on a mobile device. It's annoying, but it happens on most forums that use the software.

There's gotta be a way for the forum owner to shut it off though, because I've noticed on some forums I'm on that I know use it, that pop up doesn't come up.
My guess is, and it's only a guess that there is some form of revenue generation from the click throughs and/or installs of the mobile app, hence it doesn't get turned off on all forums.

It's really that big a deal, it's just mildly annoying, just hit cancel and your in the forum. Takes about a nano second.

I think its a device issue. turn off your push setting and see if it stops the notifications.

I am here solely by Apple devices and I do not EVER get a single pop-up or advertisement beyond the single banner ad at the bottom of the forum page and the tiny vendor banner at the top right corner of every page.

Of which I only receive when on the home page and no others.
It's tiny and at the very very bottom and I rarely ever even see it because I need to roll completely to the bottom past all usable forum info to view it.

Not sure what or why things are different
I've always just assumed that Apple is awesom and the reason I don't have any nonsense here
Honestly, I get absolutely zero pop-ups or advertisements anywhere I go on the entire internet.

I use the PC at work and it's a nightmare and they have all sorts of blockers and protectors. I couldn't imagine a regular Joe-blow computer if works is as bad as it is.

I do have all the nonsense shut off on my apple devices.... No push notifications, no alerts, no notifications etc... If it looked like I could shut it off without seriously effecting me using the device... OFF it went.

My battery lasts forever compared to my sons and daughters droid devices and like I said... Honestly no pop-up crap or advertisements at all ever.

I've come to really love apple because of it.

Set an android device up properly and don't bog it down with a teenager sized amount of apps and bs and you won't have pop ups and the battery will last all day just like apple does ya fanboy. :flipoff:
