Default How about a column for trannies /gearing ?

A place for tranny talk
likes and dislikes
upgrades
mods
weight info
low center of gravity
scale simliar tranny's
gear reduction applications
sticky for calculating your gear ratio

I think this would benefit all as these builds are getting very custom
Scale guys are not using clod axle same as shafty rigs like max's
trannies are swaping between different trucks and is difficult finding.

What do you think ?

Thank you

Maybe just a thread in general would be nice. Just something with all the different combinations. But as for its own section, its not really a hot enough topic. Yeah sure every now and then something pops up, but not often enough.

I think a tranny sticky would be cool, with all the info on each tranny, and no BS.

We could also make that info available on the main page if anyone would like to gather it all up.

Have fun.

I'd do it if I had the time.

Stealth is the number one I believe, way stronger then anything other for durabilty, and weight!

Losi would be next, then pede, then evader would be last, duratrax only makes good packs/and chargers!!!

You don't see allot of them but the Twin tranny is BOMB proof. In stock configuration,it's big and fits a TVP chassis,but.....The tranny can be broke down and rebuilt in a hundred different configurations to fit nearly any chassis out there. The Twin tranny I'm running in my super right now,is the same tranny I started with more than 2 years ago and about 124 builds ago I've had it in TVP chassis's,tuber style chassis and even a pan style chassis.

The 8mm outputs, chain drive and 6mm main shaft makes for a super strong set up. I've thrown monster horsepower and monster size tires to it while beating on it HARD without failure.

The ratio out of the Twin Force chain drive tranny is 2.4

Nooobs

Nah just razzin ya

Twin as in Twin Force built by Kyosho It's an 1:8 scale basher thats a GREAT platform for a super class crawler. If you want, the axles are EASILY narrowed and can be built into a 2.2 spec crawler

Check out the Twin Force/X Factor forum. Theres some nice builds in there and you'll see the Twin tranny. You can look at any of my builds or Volkswagenut's(my brother) stuff. They are soley Twin stuff Can't downgrade ya know

TVP.....Twin Verticle Plate style chassis
