| Barrage sub-forum please?
There was a post in the wrong section asking this, but the only way to get it considered is to do the proper thing and post in the right location. So can we get a sub-forum for the ECX barrage and even have it to cover the copies/clones/rebranded RGT rock cruiser and FTX outback. There seems to be at least a few questions pop upper about them in all sorts of sub forums. There are builds on them not a ton but if you search they are there. There is even a big 30+ page thread and always growing. There is even people that don't own one of these rigs that would like to see them. I'm sure if a sub forum is made there will be some traction and won't be dead space. Please take all in consideration. |

yes please! This little rig crawls ridiculously well IMO, and seems to be getting more popular all the time, and with the upcomming gen 2 being 1.55", the various posts about it are just going to get spread into even more sub forums..... |

If it were created, what should it be called? "ECX Barrage"? "ECX Barrage et al." to include clones? I'm assuming it would be under Scale Rigs Brand Specific Tech?

Ecx barrage and under scale brand spec tech. The ecx temper is so close to the losi mini crawler everyone already post thread in there already. I have an rgt version but still call it a barrage even tho when I'm done there won't be much barrage left just chassis rails and braces and some lower links. I agree there should be a section for the barrage. From what I've seen it's a popular rig and that popularity seems to be growing. It also just had a 2nd gen released as well. It's got more posts on here than the venture does and everyone was all hyped up over it. There's no reason it shouldn't have a section in my opinion. There are sections on here for trucks that aren't even made anymore that haven't been posted to in years. |

These little trucks deserve as much a sub-forum as any other top-of-the-game ones. It's a pretty capable platform, suited to small and light scale trucks, and I'm sure there are a lots of them we don't see here just because their owner don't know were to start a thread about it.

100% agree. A lot of information in the current thread. It would be nice to have Barrage info more sorted and searchable versus the current "all in one" thread.

Not yet an owner of one, but would like to see a Barrage sub-forum. That 30 page thread has become too congested to efficiently find information on specifics.

Guess only a few really care about a sub-forum.

Is the Barrage the original and RGT / FTX clones?

I got my rgt rock cruiser before the barrage was released I believe, but it was only a month or two. The rgt and ftx have a lot more showing overseas in UK/Europe/Asia/Australia. Barrage is mainly US based but have seen them in the UK too. |

Perhaps then, a sub-forum should be titled "Barrage, Outback, and RGT"? Although the Barrage wasn't the first, it is the US version, RCC is also from the US, and alphabetically it's also where most RCC visitors will be looking for the Barrage in the scale rigs brand specific tech area/list (where the "present" is): Another question that needs answered is what the description should read. Maybe "1/12 scale electric 4wd vehicle produced by various manufacturers"? Last edited by StomperCrawler; 05-22-2018 at 12:11 AM. | |

Guess horizon would know the origin of the base rig. Most ecx/rgt/ftx/ are same base wise. Body, rtr electronics and wheels/ tire combo is where they differ.

The gen 2 base is out already as the doomsday which is also being discontinued and the BTD kit. Only difference is body and 1.55 wheels/tires vs 1.9 combo

Its going for 150 all over. I ment to say discontinuing it. The doomsday that is. I've been thinking about picking one up to play with while I build my baroncho. https://www.google.com/search?q=ecx+...obile&ie=UTF-8 |

Not a surprise the Doomsday might be on the discontinued way ... its uniqueness made it attractive when it came out but it's a niche vehicle. Barrage and FTX/RGT/etc with their more usual bodies and tires better fit the market.

If you were to get a barrage and planned on changing the body and tire/wheel combo. The doomsday is perfect. Its a gen 2. Save a little cash to go towards that new body or tire/wheel combo. At least imho. I want to get a doomsday and show the body off without the mad max doodads run it in a droop setup or semi-droop and run the treps I have just sitting. |
