Hey site admins...how come myself and others cannot embed YouTube vids within our threads anymore? :x

It happened a couple of times in the past, but it started working again randomly. I have no idea what causes it.

I can’t do it from the YouTube app on my iPad. Has anyone tried from the YouTube website?

Are you getting an error when it tries to preview the post, or when you post it? Been working fine for me, but I can't preview first or I get an error from the forum.

This is from the YT on my PC, I chose embed, copy and then paste into a thread and this is what happens....

Yep. Like I said, it's an intermittent problem. No idea what it happens, but when you see it know that it will eventually fix itself.

We call that technician syndrome. Doesn't work at all until you go to demonstrate the failure for the tech...then it works perfectly and they look at you like you're stoopid. ;-)

I can say that I've been confused by this before too and after tracking it for a bit I found that some sections allow them and some do not.

I didn't see this thread earlier, but I've noticed that YouTube embeds only work in certain areas of the site.

As an example of my findings

The video sections of course work just fine.
The GMADE Sawback section works fine
The GMADE Crawlers section DOES NOT WORK.

It seems like certain sections of the site need a "enable youtube embed" flag set somewhere.
