I cant see pictures in some threads

On my desktop, using Chrome or internet explorer, I cant see pictures in some threads. But on my smartphone using chrome, I can. I know its gotta be a setting on my PC, but I have no idea what to change.

Anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?

Most of the time, it's because the page you visit is in HTTPS but part of its content (graphics most of the time) is not. Chrome doesn't allow that by default on PCs and MAC, you have to update the "site settings" accordingly to allow unsecured content.
