Rig = Axial AX10, if you want to go the quick build 2.2 route. Watched several of them run today and with a little tweaking from stock they are definitely holding their own. Check out the AX10 forum here http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial-ax-10-scorpion/

Or you can build a Super or 2.2 Clod based rig
http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/tamiya-clod-buster/

Crawling locations = Papago Park, South Mountian, we have a few here in AZ that we hold comps at. Keep checking the Competition forum for the posting of the new 08' comp dates or TCS's web site here http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Events-sp-1.html

If you plan on competing check out the rules here so you know what's allowed, or not allowed..
Official RC Crawler Rules 2005-2010

The best advice I can give you is to read, read, and read some more until you have an idea of what you want to do. (Scale, Comp, Bash) This site has everything you need to know, and using the search feature it puts it all at your finger tips

And don't get offended if this thread get moved to the Newbie forum, i believe this section is for help with the site or requiring a Mods help with an issue..

Thank you for the info ...I just ordered a Axial AX10 looking forward to the build. I haven't done anything with the electric side since the Monster beetle days
