There might be some rooms left in Portland. I called and got rooms about a week and a half ago and had no problem. But that was then. Also I don't think there is very many hotels in porland. I know alot of people are staying in muncie.

Default Just a little info about the area

I live in Winchester about 15 miles south of Portland,if you are on a shoestring budget and need a room there is a small motel in Winchester just off of U.S. 27, that will put you about 20 miles south of Portland.
I'm not real sure about the camping situation around Portland, you could call the chamber of commerce they might be able to help,or you could pitch a tent in my backyard. My cooking is critically acclaimed in the area if ya come hungry.

My big question is can I put my name on the list I would like to meet you guys and check out how the rigs are built and watch the comp, my problem is I am just beginning to get into the sport I don't even have a rig yet, but I have some really cool ideas in my head for building my rig when my buget allows, I have read about half of all the posts on this sight trying to familiarize my self with how it all works and I'm just about ready to start building.

If some one could let me know I would appreciate it. one way or another I'll see you guys at the comp

Also if anyone has any questions about the area post them up ,or drop me a line and I'll try to help you out the best I can.
