Portland, IN July 8th-9th at UROC SIGN UP!

Just got off the phone with Ranch at UROC.

RC Driver will have a booth and a RC crawling competition at the ProNationals event.

Time for the SERCRC and TSRCRC guys to get together at a 1:1 event, see the real deal in person (something those of us on the east coast rarely get to do), and show off our rigs with the 1:1 crowd.

I know this is short notice, but this just came about today.

I know I'll be bringing a fleet of crawlers...don't make me compete against myself.

The 1:1 comp starts at 5pm Friday and 5pm Sat.

We've basically got all day to crawl, I've got a few media type things I'll have to do Friday, but no big deal. Daytime is perfect, means we'll have a captive audience since there won't be 1:1 action happening.

Rules would be the rccrawler rules that several people are working on. They worked very well at the last comp in ATL.

Anyone that will be attending and participating in the RC comp/demo will need to give me thier full name and age. This will be put into a list that will be at the entrance gate. If you're on the list you get a wristband for the weekend.

If you're bringing anyone under 16 they won't be allowed on the 1:1 course...insurance purposes I'd assume.

So, if you want to get in free, I need info for everyone that will be attending and those that will be in the vehicle with you.

If you think you're going to attend, give me your info. I'd rather have people on the list that don't show up (Aubie ) than have people show up that aren't on the list.

Best to err on the side of caution, right?

What time does everyone plan on arriving? I know some of you may only be able to be there one day or the other.

I think Saturday for the actual comp would be best...give those that can't take friday off a chance to compete.

In the meantime we'll be able to get in tons of bashing.

For those that are thinking of attending, here's a preview:

Judging by your avatar you'd rather not drive the stick. :flipoff:

EeePee 06-20-2005 02:18 PM

I could be in on this!

That's all I got for now... :?

old_dog 06-20-2005 02:33 PM

I will be there for at least Saturday and depending on work schedule may be able to do Friday. Have at least one truck and possible two if parts come in.

EeePee 06-20-2005 02:48 PM

How come they're starting the 1:1 comps at 5 pm? Isn't that a bit late?

Heat, perhaps?

jason 06-20-2005 03:05 PM

It is something they have been doing at the man made courses. Yes it helps keep us out of the heat, it also helps keep the crowd out of the heat as well. Also more people have the freetime to go to stuff like this in the evening, and therefore we draw a much bigger crowd.

AdamF 06-20-2005 04:03 PM

I can't make it. I'll be 1:1 wheeling at Haspin Acres.

JasonInAugusta 06-20-2005 04:06 PM

blah, blah, blah

aubie 06-20-2005 06:08 PM

No faith Jason. :flipoff:

JasonInAugusta 06-20-2005 06:13 PM

Hey...you're on a streak.

It's what...3 in a row now?

Reminds me of George "No show" Jones.

yeah cause comming to portland just to DNF or just to work on your clod wouldn't be worth it :flipoff: :flipoff:

AdamF 06-20-2005 08:07 PM

Yea, I seem to have much better luck with 1:1 trucks. Too bad Toyota doesnt make R/C trucks! :flipoff:
