I'll bring both trucks , but I don't know if I really liked last time running around to run different classes . I didn't have time to get my head into the course I was running . I had the most fun in 2.2 comp . But I'll help fill classes , 'cause I don't think I have a chance to go to Nats I'm thinking dry DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DRY DXRY DRY DRY DRY |

Alright guys, if anyone plans to attend this Sunday and has not posted on this thread or in our VARCOR site thread and is not listed above, please post up now. If you show up the day of the event and did not pre-register, you will be pushed to the front of the line. Tomorrow night I will determine the running order of the groups based on who we have listed via the random generator. It looks like we will be doing 3 groups for 2.2 comp this time unless the rain keeps some away again. Still calling for isolated thunderstorms and rain on Sunday, so pack an umbrella, raincoat, or whatever else you'll need. We had a bunch of wet people last comp, so don't forget the rain jacket this time (myself included). :-P Good traction shoes or boots always help too, especially with wet rocks, see if we can keep the slips and falls to a minimum as well. |

I have faith that we will be okay this Sunday. To be honest, my wife will be walking five miles for the March Of Dimes that morning come hell or high water (which yes, I am a little in the doghouse for not being there for that), so if she can stick it out, we certainly can. As usual, bring the raincoats! I forgot mine the comp before last, and Mark forgot his for the last one.....................and it only takes once to learn that lesson! I got a copy of the score sheets from Mark earlier, so hopefully Friday my assistant and I can be covert enough to get a few copies laminated. My assistant also told me today that she has china pens in her office, so I will steal, I mean borrow, a few of those also. I have needed to pick up a 12x12 instant canopy for the Nascar race next weekend anyway, so hopefully I can get that on Saturday and have it ready for us. That will at least give us a central spot of dryness to store everything. I think if we all honestly hope for rain on Sunday, it will be as dry as a bone!! Has anyone seen Pony Pasture this week? With the several inches of rain earlier this week, and a little more with this front on Saturday, will the rocks even be above water by Sunday??? FHP isn't but 5-10 minutes away, we wanna call that a backup location is the James is too high? |

I was there last sunday and we have only lost a few rocks to the high water but the rocks we normally run are fine, there are a few more puddles to go through but nothing to deep and even in the rain most of the rocks I tried had good traction.

I have an EZ-UP I can bring, but I thinks its 10x10. And a couple fold up tables if needed. Not sure where to sit it up yet, but we can find a place. May not even need it, the forecast for Sunday is Partly Cloudy with a 20% chance of rain now. |
