Default Pictures ** Phoenix Arizona - Sunday July 10th - The Early Bird - BB7

July 10th - The Early Bird - Boulder Battle #7
7:30am Start!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry guys, but we need to beat the heat.
Central Avenue Location - (not the peak/summit)

Take Central Avenue south into South Mountain Park. The road will veer to the west. After the gate house, make the first left. Then make your second right into the parking lot. The crawling spot is located next to the southeast corner of the parking lot.

I am new to the boards, but would like to come out. What do I need to do to compete? Is there some sort of qualification or fee?

Thanks,
Dan

I'm not trying to speak for Kevin, but we would be glad to have you! No fees, no qualification, just some good competition. What type of vehicle might you be competing with?

-Rich

EDIT: Sorry, didn't bother to read the sig until after I had already posted. It'll be nice to have another TXT there.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I will try to get out on Sunday. What type of showing do you usually get at an event like this? How far from the parking lot is the crawling area? Is it close enough to recharge batteries?

Thanks again,
Dan

last comp we had 8 people driving and two classes.

PARC - Phoenix Arizona Comp "The Peak" June 12th, 2005

the crawling spot is close to the parking area, maybe 30 feet. You can easily leave the hood of your car open and charge packs.

I am new to rc rock crawling and the boards. In fact I'm not even done building my truck yet. But I would like to come check it out and get an idea of the type of terrain, And some ideas for my truck.

Pinned at 90 I make it from Vegas to Awatukee in 4 and a half hours. With the new freeways out through the hills it makes it really fun.

Had a good time today. Allot more enjoyable when my truck doesn't break like last time. Thank you to everyone that came out and braved the heat. thank god the rattler decided to take off instead of us finding him on accident!!!! And then there was the funnel web -- wonder what nasty was in there?

if you guys have any feedback for me, please let me know. you can PM me here if you want. Good or bad, i want to hear it. And i won't take offence to anything. Your feedback is vital to changing and keeping the events how you guys want them.

Congratulations to Josh on his second place finish driving a vehicle he had never driven before. I lent him my second truck and he did a great job driving.
