| 1Bad's Scale Nats trip
I would like to start this thread off with a huge "Thank you" to Ben's friend Ron for getting me to the MSD/Tamiya Scale Nationals. For those of you who dont know, Ron pretty much sponsored me and purchased my very expensive plane ticket to get me there. I had never met Ron up till this past weekend, but when Ben showed him pictures of my trucks and explained to Ron how I couldnt afford my plane ticket out there he stepped up and paid my way and for that, I am extremely great full. It just goes to show that there is good people out there. So one again, "Thanks Ron! " secondly, I would like to thank Ben. Even after Ron paid my air fare, that still left me in quite a bind as I am not old enough to rent a car nor do I think I could have really afforded a hotel for the weekend. Not only did Ben come out to pick me up at the air port at 11:30 at night, and drop me off monday morning at 5:30 but he also drove my ass everywhere AND allowed me to stay at his house O AND he even paid for a meal or 3 of mine as well So big "Thank you" to Ben as well It was fun weekend for sure, a busy one as well, I helped Ben tech probably 200 trucks or so throughout the weekend and helped Pigeonfarmboy judge the 2.2 comp on Saturday. I think the best part of the trip and you guys can think this is gay all you want, was seeing everyone again from the Moab trip and meeting new people as well. On Long Island, its really just me...there is No one else thats really into crawling or scale trucks...so to spend a weekend with a bunch of people who share the same interest is awesome. Sunday was definitely by far the best day Before I share the pics I took I would like to send out a couple more Thank yous or just give random bits 1) Thank you Ben and Aaron for all your work with the event 2) Thank you again Ron and Ben for getting me to the event 3) Thank you Troy/Createacrawler for the BAMF beadlocks I won 4) Thank you all sponsors who donated 5) Thank you Tamiya for being part of the event, I am glad you guys recognize that this crawling/scale stuff isnt a fad 6) Thank you Tim and Rich for taking me to Wendys...I still think we should have invited that chick back to Bens 7) Thank you Matt and Mike for food run on sunday Thank you Mini baller and Obi for the weekend eye candy and for letting me pilot the XJ and Crew cab 9) Thanks if I forgot to thank you for something 9.5) Thanks Corey (stangkilla) for all the awesome pictures on sunday 10) Your welcome John for your Bruiser knuckle, I hope your thumb feels better Hope you get that Bruiser frame straightened out 11) Your welcome Jason for your stainless drilled out tlt pinion, you owe me a new RCC t-shirt O and thanks for shooting me in the ass with your ridiculous automatic air soft fun Ok... picture time... Whos ankles were those! ^Is that real Look its not on the shelf and it flipped over WHOA where did this come from Corey??? 1st time ever (I think) that there were 2 xjs together...thats like 5gs right there Most scale trucks in one place...check F-toys are total BAMFs Thats how they roll in Oregon...Jim knows how to wheel Jumping the pathfinder You could have learned how to winch properly if you saw Griz's run here album here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v7...0Nats/?start=0 |

Nice photos especially the one of BigBallers girlfriend Jenifer, it would seem true that even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a acorn. |

Andy, I am even more obsessed with the red neck pick up after seeing it in person, your trucks are built so cleanly, the tube work is pretty much flawless and they just really flow nicely Stu, your camper rig, is hands down your coolest ride. Its 10x cooler in person. Maybe some day I can make my way to ohio for a scale GTG with you guys. -MIke

Hey im not upset I just thought it was funny as hell to see that. There a definitely a ton of awesome pictures of the XJs and the crew cab from the trail ride we did. I could have probably made an entire thread just for them Thanks again for being the camera man, its much easier to drive without having to shoot at the same time.

Mike, it was great to have you there and I am glad you had a great weekend. You looked alittle tired a few times, but were smiling all weekend. Ron's screen name on rcc is " Yawzer " , he is one of the most generous people I have ever met Ben- |

Nice pics, I wish I would have been able to go. Little confused though, you cannot afford an airline ticket but can sink thousands into rc's? |

you can ask around I have done a "payment" plan with a few members here...off the top of my head Ben was one of them with a Bruiser and another was Stefan with the XJ. I only spend what I can pay for each month on my credit card and if I would have put 650$ + on it I would not have been able to pay it in full at the end of the month. So yes, I have 1000s of dollars in RCs but they start out as cheap parts and get built into that.

I wish I had that much control with my cards. My wife gets the bills than I get the pleasure of hearing all about it.
