Jeff has been sick, I left work early today and haven't had time to look at scores.

Getting them together now.

This is the way future large events held at BP will be ran.

There will be 2 courses, top 5 drivers from both groups will go to the main event.

Scores will be reset for the MAIN EVENT!!

I agree that the only thing "one sided" was the shafty's verses the clods

It was only fair to start the points over for the final 10, sense course B was ran under different conditions. When we took the combined scores for the 2 groups: group 1 was the top five and group 2 was the bottom five of the final 10 drivers. The points spread was very bias toward the first group (which I along with the guy that was SO far ahead of everyone else) Group 2 would have had at lease 30-50 points to make up. Starting over for the final 10 was the only way to make it fair to EVERYONE. If it work for NASCAR, I can surely work for our little comps.

It would be nice to have one big group, but last time with only 9 trucks we were rushed to finish, and most of the time was spent watching other drivers instead of actually driving. I liked having the 2 groups then a final 10, more people get to do more driving (which is a very good thing for the people that drove 5+ hours just to make it down.

I would like to thank Kenny and Fish for all there work which made this event possible.

Cool, I came in 9th. I figured that I came in dead last. Anyone want to donate to the "Ford needs some freaking tires" fund??

Yes we did make mistakes! We did the best we could with the knowledge we had.
Yes we did plan to use combined scores through out the day, but half way through the day it became obvious by the scores that 2 groups scores were very different.

Not just 1 driver! Maybe it was because different groups were judging, or changing weather conditions, who knows!

So I am not sure what you are implying by you statement "he was so far ahead of all ,that they decide to run top five on a third course, and start everyone back to zero." and " so call what you want but seemed kinda one sided to me."

More than likely future large events held at BP will be ran the same way. The goal will be to get to the main event by beating other drivers in your group. Scores will be reset for the MAIN EVENT!

Sorry this was unclear in the beginning, but in the end I think we made the right decision.

to clear it up i wasnt bashing the decisions made for the comp, only that any one vehicle owned. and as for the one sided thing, the txt-1 on the score sheets with only 1 mention of clods says it all.

You will have me to contend with next time bud. You might make it to the top 15 but never top five.
