I hate I missed this one as well. When is the last one going to be? Is there a date set yet. I will make sure I make it to that one. We need to start working on something indoors for the winter too!! Once again, sorry I missed it. Would have loved to been there and gave everyone a run for there money...

I had planned on trying to use the Hobby Connection's site but if more people want to go back to Carolina Crawlin then that is where we will go. The place has tons of potential areas to run them. The bridges worked perfect where we had them plus we would have the place to ourselves pretty much. I'll check with the other guys and see if they want to go back there or try somewhere new.

Do you have any pics from this last comp? I would like to see what that site has to offer over all the other sites. IE: Hobby Connection, Gulthes, XXXtreme Hobbies...

Kenny, this event was on October 12th.

Today is the 15th.

Weather was bad here, I stayed home.

I built a Badlands type thing a few years ago and it was mainly for Mini Z's, but I am sure it could be built in larger scale. I used chicken wire and plaster type mix and then painted it with Drylock which is a sand rubber mixed stuff.Kinda expensive!! When it is dry it feel like concrete.
The course was in 4'x8' sections and I made about 10 sections with a bridge too!
I will check my old computer to see if I have any old pics of the course.

If we were to do this another idea is to use the Losi Mini instead of the 1/10 scale.
Just a thought.

See, you should have come. We weather at the event was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky and only about 70.

I don't think anyone got photos of the event. We only had 4 people so it went kinda fast. But I can tell you the courses were great. Traction wasn't a problem at all. Plus the 2 bridges I built fit perfect between some rock peaks that were there so we were able to do over/under sections.
