Ok, here goes! Off 101, head directly into the mall area, head right toward the south end of the mall. Pull into the parking area and look for the Sears Auto Center. Walk south down the side street, past Sears A.C. towards the Santa Rosa Creek. Take a right down the sidewalk path, and continue on for about 200 feet, that's the crawl spot.

If you look at the mapquest link, and change it to the satellite view, 1st St dead ends into the Sears Auto Center. You can see the creek and the walkway. It will give you a better idea of where to go ....

I can give this a shot, hopefully not to confusing.
Anyway, take highway 101 north, just past the highway 12 interchange, take the "downtown" offramp, and turn right at the traffic light(end of the ramp) and make another right about half a block up the road. (you'll see the mall parking structure on the right hand side.)
Ta Da. you are now officially "at the mall"
Make a right turn at the stop sign, right after the parking garage (still on your right) youll see the Sears Auto Center right past the parking garage.
The bike path and trail head is right next to it. You cant miss it, just look under the bridge. Just take the trail off to the right, and it's about a 500 feet up the trail.

Or you could do a Mapquest search for Sears Auto Center.

As far as parking, there is a small parking lot next to the trail across the street, the one business is closed on Sunday, and the other place is out of business, so it shouldn't be a problem. If those are full there is always Mall parking. Just please try to stay out of the Sears lot, otherwise things may get weird.

Man, I typed this up at the same time, so I'm posting it even though Chris explained it well.

From SF:
Take 101 North to Santa Rosa.
Take the Downtown exit, stay to the right.
Turn right onto West 3rd. St.
Stay right, up into the Mall (if you go under the Mall, you can take your first right, first right again and you'll end up at the Sears Auto Center).
Turn right at the T (which is A St.)
You'll be driving parallel to the mall, with the parking on your right side. Park in the last lot, where you can see the Sears Auto Center.
Walk south along A St., for about 100 feet and you'll see the Santa Rosa Creek.
Take a right down the creek path and you'll find the comp.
I think that should cover it. You can do a mapquest for the intersection of A St. and 1st St. in Santa Rosa, CA 95401

Bingo! Thanks Jake!
I just entered "Sears Auto Center" into mapquest, and it really did'nt help much (it shows the main store about three blocks away.)
So never mind. I have to get back to work getting my dig together for Sunday.

See you there!

Startin' to get excited! Tomorrow's the big day! And, I get to drive!

Hope everyone's ready to have som fun and get "their Comp On"! Looks like we should have a solid crew out there, I know there's more than what's listed showing up!

Think about possible names for the new crawler club .... We need to get this group named and formed up!

Just got out of a movie and the fog is rolling in. For those driving in, you might want to allow for a little more travel time in case it gets thick! either way, it's gonna be a little chilly in the morning, I'm bringing a big coat! See you guys tomorrow!

Great turnout, everything went smooth and organized.
