Thanks to everybody who came out today, it was great to see so many new faces as well as the familar crew. I think the competition went well and all had fun. Lots of interested spectators and no issues with the officals, this spot seems viable for future comps. Special thanks to the judges and score keepers, Bryan, Peter, Jake, Mike, Brad and Dean. Thanks Frank for the awesome bridge and scorekeeping for the judges round. Oh ya, nobody wrote any name suggestions on the clipboard so here are a couple that I've kicked around: 1) North Bay Crawlers (NBC) 2) North Bay Rock Crawlers (NBRC) 3) North Bay RC Rock Crawlers (NBRCRC) 4) Sonoma / Marin RC Crawlers (SOMA-RCC) other variations... Good fun today! Thanks everyone for making it another successful Sonoma County Crawler Comp! Great turnout for the first one. The spot worked well, no hassles or troubles. Courses were challenging. Things went smoothly. Nice day of Compin' with friends! Congrats to Bryan for a well driven 1st place! Patrick: If a driver gets a 40 on a course, for timing out or pointing out, then it's 40 minus whatever progress points he got. So, it looks like Lance got a 40 - 5 = 35 .... As for your score sheet, I would guess they did not mark down 2 of your progress points. So, your score on that course would be 25, and a toal score of 45. And, since I think you might ask .... Ties are split by the score on course 3, then course 2, then course 1. With a 45, you tied Lance for 9th place, but his score on course 3 beats yours. Dan: Mark did really good! So did you for that matter! |

It was an awesome day! Thanks to the judges and everyone who helped out!! I am thinking Northbay Crawlers would be a good name...that would at least include Sonoma/Marin/Napa etc. I think I met at least 2 or 3 people from Napa this morning and would want the name to include them as well!!! |

| I am hooked
That was the first comp I have participated in and all I can say is - that was a blast! It was fun and challenging with a minimum of hassle and lots of drive time compared to parking lot racing. Now I can see why my son loves rock crawling so much - I got plenty of good driving and setup advice too. Thank you to everyone who made this happen |
