Western PA Crawlers (W.Pa.C.)
is hosting

The 1st Annual
MOTORAMA ULTIMATE INDOOR
ROCK CRAWLING CHALLENGE

(February 21- 22, 2009)

W.Pa.C. will be part of the
Nationally Recognized
Motorama Events
that encompasses all motorsport interests.

Some of the interests are:

TunerWars
Go Carts
Robot Conflict
Arena Cross
Radio Control
Hot Rods & Classics
Speed Show
Quarter Midget Racing
and more.

There will be over 30,000 spectators in the two day event.

Block out the dates and make sure that you subscribe to this thread for updates.
Latest information will be updated in the second post.

MOTORAMA ULTIMATE INDOOR
ROCK CRAWLING CHALLENGE


DATE:
FEBRUARY 21-22, 2009


TIME:
8:00 am


LOCATION:
FARM SHOW COMPLEX
(HARRISBURG, PA)


CLASSES:
2.2 COMP & SUPER COMP on Saturday (100 drivers for each class limit)
Also will be running Scaler Exhibition and Possibly 1.9 Event On Sunday




NEW DETAILS

Friday Practice: 4pm to 7pm Only (we will need to set the courses after that)

Saturday Event Start Time: 8:30am Sign In/9:15am Drivers Meeting/9:30am Free Run 2.2 Comp will start. I will let everyone know at the drivers meeting when Super will start. Tech Inspection of top 3 Rigs will be done at end of each class event. If rig is not within the USRCCA Rules for each class, the rig will be DQ'd, so please check it...

SUNDAY
1.9 Comp...This will be an informal Comp due to there not being many there. There will be a small 50/50 fee to enter. Half the $$ will go to the winner. There will also be some 1.9 prizes.

Scaler Exhibition: This will be for show only. Bring your scalers ready to show off. I will let you know if we will have room on Saturday to display the 1.9's and Scalers.

Swap Meet: Yes with some reluctance. We cannot pass money back and forth in public. This will be Sunday Only and there will be an area set up specifically for that. Make sure you tag your items so that we know who to talk to. Do not display any prices!!!

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR ITEMS ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. WE WILL OFFER A PLACE TO DISPLAY THEM OUT OF REACH OF SPECTATORS BUT WE, W.Pa.C./Motorama/Competitors, WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR LOST OR DAMAGE STUFF. DISPLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Comp details:
  • Free run Comp(2.2 will be first with an ending time TBA, then Super will start with and ending time TBA)
  • Sunday will be an organized Scaler and 1.9 Event.
  • Top 3 for the two classes (Super/2.2) will receive trophys Top 5 will win prizes.
  • There will be door prizes given throughout the day Saturday. If not claimed they will go back in the pot for Sunday.
  • Tech will be done to top 5 winners of each class upon completion of two courses.

ENTRY FEE: $55 FOR FIRST CLASS, $45 FOR SECOND
(Note: The fee also includes your entry fee to the event. You will have access to all events for the two days)

PLEASE NOTE: POST ENTRY @ Harrisburg will result in $65 per class, Plus a 2 day show pass ($45) plus a parking pass. (After February 1st)

Do we just send in the registration form or can we sign up online ???? Already printed the forms. Just wanted to know if I could do it quicker online. The Buffalo Ny gang will be attending.

For those who haven't heard about it, click on the link above and see what Motorama is all about.

It has been an incredible RC race the last couple years and I am glad they are incorporating crawling into this event. It will be the biggest audience for Crawling yet and a great opportunity to promote the hobby.

Congrats to WPaC for getting this put together!

John, I will be there. The registration form does not have the nitro classes listed and I am awaiting the new (?) or additional form.

Go to the website under registration. There is a separate form for Nitro.

I saw that, I just wanted to see how they would handle the discount between nitro and electric. Needless to say, I will be there for nitro, slash and crawling!

Does the practice time on Friday apply to the crawlers? With the no pre-running rule I assume no but I could be wrong.

am I missing something??.... I dont see where you can reg online??... do I have to fill out a form and send it in by mail??
