| Ark/la/miss '09 season
Figured since we are a recognized club, we might as well kick this season off. Comp #1, March 28 @ Arkabutla Lake in Southhaven, MS. Comp #2, April 25 @ Jacksonville, AR, Paradise Park. Comp #3, May 23 @ ??????????. Comp #4, June 27 @ ??????????. We need at least five comp's before July 1st, four count towards Nat's. We might have to double up one month for the fifth comp. Details will be posted at a later date, but we know the drill. Start 10:00, three courses. 2.2 class. Other classes if more supers show and if 1.9 start popping up. Help will be expected and required for the '09 season. More judges so multiple courses can be run at the same time. Setting up courses, etc. |

http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/Lakes/ms/arkabutla/ . That day we were there the level was 210. Anything under 220 we would probably be ok. I will make the first one and third date for sure. Will miss others due to work. Last edited by rottenbelly; 02-16-2009 at 10:15 PM. | |

The first date i think i will make, gona be a buisy month for me, but i think i can make it. The second i will put down as compin.. Actually i can prety much get off for any of them, unless something comes up that needs my attention. For the next locations, any thoughts on going back to derry, la? I didnt think it was so bad last time, very technical tight course. And i guess shreevport? Do we still have a go to person over there? Just some thoughts... |

Hey BByrrd, sardis lake has some pretty good spots to. Its a little further south than arkabutla. Takes about 1.5 hours maybe from memphis. Here a link from a long while ago. http://rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=137845 It has spots really close together with all sizes of rock kinda grouped together. Some spots you could run 1.9, Another spot you could run 2.2 and some even bigger spots for supers. Its at the north end of the dam on the upper lake. If you check out my photo bucket at the end of page 8 theres a few vids of the place. http://s371.photobucket.com/albums/o...lly/?start=140 Maybe a spot for a later date if nothing else. |
