*****updated info******

It's time to pick the date for the next PARC comp....Boulder Bash 10 !!!

It seems Sundays work best for most of us and since the last comp was Sept 25th, how about Oct 30th or Nov 6th?

one2crawl 10-04-2005 11:46 PM

nov 6th sounds good.;-)

I will be out the weekend of the 22nd. If you don't have a comp maybe I can meet up with a few of you guys to crawl.

kevinlongisland 10-05-2005 07:00 PM

how does the 23rd of October sound to you guys? I'd like to hold a comp when ken (franky rizzo) comes down from nevada and the 23rd will put us at one month since the last comp (i think?). But it's up to you guys.

grover 10-05-2005 07:21 PM

23rd

I would get behind that...

azvader 10-05-2005 11:26 PM

Every Four Weeks

The 23rd sounds better. I like the every four weeks idea. This gives us plenty of time between comps fix, build, or test our crawlers or just get together. Plus I can finally crawl with Franky Riz.

That would make the next 3 comps....

BB10 Oct. 23rd
BB11 Nov. 20th
BB12 Dec. 18th

This lets us finish off the year and start fresh in 2006.

kevinlongisland 10-05-2005 11:36 PM

sounds good to me.

one2crawl 10-06-2005 09:26 AM

FrankyRizzo 10-06-2005 10:26 AM

Party on (Garth style)

grover 10-06-2005 07:51 PM

Mike those dates work great for me!

yodasands 10-06-2005 09:22 PM

23rd sounds good.

WRMorrison 10-07-2005 05:45 AM

It all sounds good to me, considering I'll have to assemble another crawler in record time... . Y'all better watch out though, I just got my junk in the mail from McMaster...

Dates O.K. now for Venues

Well everybody seems to be in agreement on the dates for the next three comps. I guess the next thing to do is pick the locations for the comps.

BB10 October 23rd
BB11 November 20th
BB12 December 18th

Because it's only a couple of weeks away, let do BB10 at South Mountain maybe 24th on Central. I would however like to try one of the others on the west side, if any of the west side crawlers want to help pick a good comp spot post it up.

P.S. Chad would you like to test out the points series on these last three comps??

grover 10-07-2005 07:01 PM

Point series test...YES

The only vote we received for the simpler scoring was from a non PARC member from out of state so it looks like we should give the second option a try. I like the idea of testing it on a short series and starting fresh in '06. That way if we find it is to much of a hassle we can change or simplify as needed.

Using previous events as a model I have been very pleased with the numbers that come out. I am confident in the scoring strategy and I would like input on the idea that would dovetail nicely with starting a points series. The Idea is that PBB10 we would start the first stage with a rondom running order. Then at PBB11 and PBB12 we would run the first stage in the order of the points series I.E. The first place competitor in the series standings would run first...second stage would run as normal.

Please give input on this running order idea. Possitive, negative or questions are all welcome. You can PM me if you have a concern you do not feel comfortable discussing on the board but lets get some group input please.

WRMorrison 10-07-2005 07:06 PM

Sounds good to me Chad. I doesn't really matter though, after I get my unlimited truck finished, I'll be running first from now on... :flipoff:

I agree lets use these last 3 comps as test runs. It seems like each comp has been alittle better. We seem to be open to each others ideas, and that is a good thing. The main thing to keep in mind is keep things simple, and everything stays fun! Let finish 2005 and PLAN 2006.

mesaAZclod 10-08-2005 01:09 AM

When and Where

We'll be holding Boulder Bash 10 at South Mountain off Central Ave. It's a new spot so Kevin will post up directions.

Sign-ups are at 8:45am and the comp starts at 9:00am. We'll try to run the 2.2s and fullsize at the same time. It seemed to work great last time, we got in alot of crawling.
