Wanted to give this event its own thread."thumbsup"


For those interested in this event, that do not remember it, here is a link to some pix of the location.

We will be running both 2.2 and 1.9 classes.


Hopefully we can get guys from all of the area clubs to attend.
So if ya got a site, link this thread.
Consider this the sign up thread.

Sign in will be at the gate at 8
Gate drops at 8:30
Goes back up at 9
Courses will open shortly after..

For those who have not yet attended an event at Oakes park. There is a gate off of the main parking lot. We have permission form the city of Fairborn to open the gate and drive back to the rocks. The gate must be locked back after we are inside, to keep others from driving back.
So please be on time if not early to arrive at this event. If you arrive after 9 there is a very good chance you will have a very long walk.

Also it is extremely important to stay on the driving path. There are a great deal of fossil beads in this park that are still being unearthed by the local colleges.

The area this event is being held is a very busy area, there is Wright-Patt airforce base, Wright State University, and the Nutter Center which hosts everything from concerts to ball games. So most of the hotels in the area are already booked for the dates of this event. The sooner you make your reservations the better.

I just have a hard time getting 2 Sat.'s in a row away from the family. I would love to go and will if I can figure out a way.

1.9 refers to "comp" 1.9's.

There is a few of us with scalers. There are plenty of places to run scalers.
If someone wants to throw down a few courses, "thumbsup".
If someone wants to bring their scalers to bash around with, "thumbsup".

Any ELECTRIC RC you have should be OK to run at Oakes.

There is a rather large area that is perfect for beating on the slash.
