2009 Alaska Rock Crawling Summer Series

That right guys time to dust off those rigs of yours and start getting in some practice/set up time. This is the first of MANY series events which the points will count towards your end of the year 2009 State Champion.

When: Saturday, April 18th is when our first event will start.

Where: Mchugh Creek, Up top.

Entry: $20.00 Per Driver, includes one class. $5 per additional class entered.
ALL proceeds will go towards future event prizes/raffles/awards/food/drinks/materials ect.

Times:
- Set up: 9:00 - 9:30am
- Sign In/Tech Inpection: 11:00am
- Drivers Saftey Meeting: 11:45am
- Comp: 12:00pm
- 10 - 15 minute brakes after each course.
- BBQ/Awards/Clean Up begin directly after the competition

Classes: 1.9, 2.2, Unlimited. Unlimited Class will be needing a minimum of 5 drivers to be held.

Courses: There will be three timed courses per class. 10 Gates per course not inlcuding Start/Finish lines. Classes/Courses will be going on simultaneously. There will be a maximum of 40pts per course and 20pints per gate that can be accumulated, after a driver passes 40 points he/she will recieve a DNF on he/she's score card. Lowest amount of total points wins.

All Courses Timed: Each driver will be timed per course for each class. 5 Minutes to complete each course. If the driver does not finish in the alotted time, he/she will recieve a 40 pt DNF penalty. Time starts when vehicle breaks the plane of the starting line of that course. Time stops when driver breaks the plane of the finish line of that course.

Tech Inspection: This will occur directly after signing up at the check in booth. All vehicles must meet USSRCA rules and regulations. Each class has a specific set of requirments to pass. For a update on all regulations please visit http://www.usrcca.com/rules2008.pdf .

Awards: 1st through 3rd Place awards will be given out durring the summer series. The series championship will include 1st through 5th places along with prizes and raffles.

BBQ/ Freecrawling/Clean Up: After the main event there will be having a Nice BBQ for all atendees drivers or non-drivers are welcome. Food and drinks will be available. Snacks (Including kid snacks) will be readily available through out the event. Clean up will begin (Gate round up/Trash Pick Up) after Awards and the BBQ so we can all enjoy some free crawling time.

* Bonus Gate:Yes, will will have ONE bonus gate. Theres are a few rules and guidlines to this;

- Driver(s) will be eligble to atempt the bonus gate IF he/she had sucessfully completed ALL courses.
- If driver has a DNF on ANY of the alloted courses, he/she will NOT be eligble to attempt the bonus gate.
- Bonus gate will be worth up to -5 points. NOT -10.
- Roll overs and reverses will NOT count trying to achieve the bonus.
- No repositions will be granted.
- There will be a starting point and one set of gates at the end of the bonus.
- If gate is hit, then bonus points are void.
- Gate will be set at a 14". This is 2" narrower than the minimum regular course gates.
- Each driver will have 2 minutes to complete the bonus.
- Eligble drivers will be able to attempt bonus when ALL driver are completed with ALL courses.
- Under NO reason at ALL will the bonus gate be allowed to be pre run durring the competition.

* We will be running 20pt MAX per gate. after he/she has acumalated 20pts on that gate and can NOT clear it, then he/she will be repositioned with there REAR axle parrallel with that non completed gate. Progressive point will NOT be handed out.

* We are doing 5 min timed courses. This way one driver is not stuck waiting for 15-20 mins while another driver is trying to clear ONE gate. Make everything go a lot smoother and faster. Gives plenty timed to complete each course. Times will START from the starting line and END at the finish line. (chalk marks) Each course has a -10pt total that can be possible.
