The weather here is finally nice and it was a great day to crawl. Unfortunately we got kicked out of our primary location but the ranger was kind enough to let us know where we were allowed to crawl. The second location turned out to be a good crawling spot nonetheless. Thank you very much to Franky Rizzo for making the way down and attending our event. It was great to finally meet him and put a face to the name. Franky Rizzo did a great job driving and scored 2nd overall. He had a decisive lead for the first two stages! Great job! Also, congratulations to Kris for winning the 2.2 class. Thanks to those of you that helped out, especially those that took care of the 2.2 comp and all the judges. Your effort is greatly appreciated. Here are the scores, pictures to come. Last edited by kevinlongisland; 10-23-2005 at 06:05 PM. |

| Even though lady luck still hates me, I had a good time nonetheless... I thought I would actually have a good day after the end of the first stage, but then lady luck's evil twin (lovingly referred to as "b!tch" by myself) showed up. On the second stage, two of my tires came unglued (guess I should have put more on :? ) and left me with one front and one rear drive wheels. Then, the truck started having some weird glitches. For some reason, the truck just became unresponsive. None of the usual servo noise or anything. Then, I would literally just touch the rig....and it would work again :? Thus, earning me a DNF for the second stage. Third stage (after switching tires/wheels, changing the batt.), I started off OK, then the glitching started again. So, after touching the truck (and receiving 5 penalty points for doing so), I was so frustrated, I just drove off the course thinking that I was at the finish gate. Wrong move. After I realized what I had done, I had to reposition my truck to pass through the final gate (another 10 pts.). All-in-all, dumb luck and frustration killed all chances of myself being competitive today. Oh well, I guess y'all will have to wait until next time to get your arses handed to 'ya! Enough with the whining already... It was a blast. Like mentioned before, it was great to see new faces, and find out which screen name they hide under... Diego (not sure of screen name :? ) did a heck of a job today. It seems the other twin was sitting on his shoulder today. With a cool chassis, front cut clod tires, rear cut maxx tires, and a conglomeration of other parts, it seemed for a while that he could do no wrong! Congrats to the Jerky Boy for showing everyone up on the first couple of stages, and thanks for comin' over to crawl with us. At least the weather was nice today and you don't have to read my b!tchin' about that! -WRM |

| Sweet New Spot !!!!!
The park ranger with the bullhorn was a buzzkill. After that it was ALL GOOD !!! That was a GREAT place to crawl, a little close quarters. Next time we can set up a work/rest area in the parking lot and crawl all over. A nice work area sure helped today, two drivers finished crawlers in the parking lot and one of them won !!! Today's comp had another big turn out. There were some new faces(mesaAZclod) and it was nice to put a face with a name(FrankyRizzo). Here's the 2.2s. The courses were tough, full of wheel suckers. Eric's new ride Chad's new creation Mitch's fish My TLT Sticky with Josh at the helm and Kris with the winner !! |

I had a ball! Nice to meet everyone and I hope to see you all in January at our next big comp. Thanks Kevin and the guys for switching their comp to accomodate my visit. I was very pleased to put some faces with the screen names. Thanks again for the concern. My son is doing fine. We went to Quick Care and took some X rays and he has the mild beginings of Pneumonia. The Doc perscribed some really strong meds and as of this evening ( Back in Vegas BTW) he is doing fine. We will take him in for a follow up on tuesday. We left AZ around 3:30 and made it back to Vegas by 8:30. We figured we being sick away from home kind of sucks. BTW Kevin It's on like Donkey Kong! That last stage was wicked. I learned alot and had alot of fun. |
