ididnt mean a water crossing, more like a half inch of water to wet your tires before the vertical crawls, i guess it was misleading when i said water obstacle. my mamba and 7t puller dont get wet either, but i dont mind putting the tires inthe water a little.

i am soaking up all the advice you give. there was a thread under general crawlers that i started for our barn course we built, newest indoor crawling course in PA. that is some of the stuff we fabricated for crawling and it is pretty awesome.

i know we dont want to see a lot of boards with carpet but we only have a few hours to set the rocks up so we will probably build some stuff like that ahead of time, maybe even use the stuff we already have built in the barn so we at least know some of what we have ahead of time. the rocks from Motorama are all back outside and will have to be moved in the day before, so as far as course design we dont have a lot of time to lay it all out ahead of time.

keep the ideas coming and i will put as much of it to use as is possible with out time constraints.

luke has been in contact with Maple gate media, which i understand has RCDriver and he has secured 10,000 worth of products for prizes, so i assume that is from their advertisers, HPI, Losi, Traxxas etc. he is working on getting me a list of contributors and as soon as i have that i will post up with it.

any idea how i get this moved to the comp threads?

Welcome

Gotta to make sure everyone had a blast Not to mention that pit space is one of those things that is low on the list but makes a large difference for the competitors!

I'm planning to be there. Looks like a good day to take off from work. Can I bring the 1to1 to play with too?

transponders are for the racing events only

i like the idea of a sportsman class also MM, but it met with some pretty tough resistance here on the forum. It is nice because it keeps the competition tight between drivers ability, and it allows people on a tighter budget to still be able to compete. I know that a good driver could kick my butt with a stock rig, but a good driver will beat you regardless of equipment.

Hopefully, this will be a FUN event for everyone involved and we can all check our egos at the door, or better yet, just leave them at home.

With as much as maplegate media has put up for this event i hope we have a great turnout and i am sure the competition will be stiff, it should be, that is how we grow the hobby.

I never had a problem with the sportsman class. My concern was with the unlimited class instead of a standard 2.2 class. I think the better idea would be to have a normal 2.2 comp class and a novice class (geared toward entry level rigs & drivers). However, if you're looking for top level competitors to travel to the event, you need to offer classes geared toward their interests & equipment.

we can just stick to the usrcca classes. that way the rules and specs are standardized and everyone has access to them.
