Kamikaze- 17 hours seems more logical to me!! ;) CRSMacgyver- Parents who says you only have to visit once. jason- 250 compers spread over 3 classes, spread over 2-3 days. good judges and staff will help this along. dezfan- yes $10,000 But we need everyone to step up and register soon so that we can be fully prepared for this. | |

I'm not trying to be negative or skeptical but, if I'm going to go to this event versus Nats/worlds (which is put on by people with a record for good events) it would be nice to know some more details about the event and the prize list. So please provide some specifics, I'm not doubting that this could be a kick but event... I just don't want to drive 12hrs across international boundaries to come to a comp with 15 amateur drivers and a couple small prizes. |

As you may know this competition is the first of it's size to hit Canada. It's also the first of it's size to be held at our facility. Knowing that this is a big deal, we have started hiring extra help, judges, and staff. As for prizing we are not sure at this point what our sponsors are providing. But the cash prizing and trophies are being paid by the Owners of Doohicky Hobbies here in Ottawa. The cash prizing is as listed above, trophies will be handed out to top 5 in each class. 15 amateur drivers? lol improves your chances at $2500. Will be more then that. |

| Ottawa international airport, It's aboot 35-45 min away from the comp. There are quite a few campgrounds with in a reasonable distance and of course there are lots of hotels surrounding the airport. Oh and the Ogdensburg NY internatonal bridge is aboot 45min to an hour away from the Crawlosem. These may help EH!!! http://www.ottawa-airport.ca/index-e.php http://www.ottawatourism.ca/ http://www.ottawa.com/main_e.shtml http://www.stlawrencecorridor.worldweb.com/ManotickON/WheretoStay/BedBreakfasts/ Last edited by bmaxx245; 07-23-2009 at 04:38 AM. |
