| HobbyTown Thursday Night Throwdown! Mini Series
Starting in September we are changing our weekday GTG night from Wednesdays to THURSDAYS from 5 to 8 p.m. To kick this off, we are going to do a THURSDAY Night mini series for the month of September. USRCCA Rules. Novice Class: NO DIG & 20 pt rule will be applied So here's the plan. Each week we will create a 10 gate progressive course. No bonus gates, no alt gates. Most of the guys showing up will be in the PRO class. However for those that would like to compete as a Novice. We'll have them run the same course as PRO, the exception being they will only run the first 5 gates with the 6th being a finish gate. This should streamline course setup, judging and running. Trophies have been ordered this evening. I'll post pics as soon as I have them in hand. Last edited by mann0mann; 08-27-2009 at 08:57 AM. |

Mike you are an amazing owner. You Nor Cal guys are blessed to have a local hobby store owner and crawl spot that supports you guys the way you do. If only we had something like this in Texas.

Thanks Eddie! If the food wasn't so dang good in Texas, I'd say ditch that place and move back here! Wish you guys were going to be around again for this one. |

Probably a good time to start discussing starting times. How about 6:30pm? I'd say we are going to have 3-4 novice drivers, and 8-10 pros. Guys would trickle in and run whenever they want. I'll get a course ready at 6pm, anybody there can discuss and recommend changes, etc. As Mike said, it will be a 10 gate progressive course, gates getting tougher as the course goes on. Gates 1-5 will be novice, with the sixth gate as the novice finish. Six through ten will be the tougher pro section, but all ten gates count in that class. Ties decided on time. We could start alittle later as to have some practice time before the comp, but I will cone off the course area to prevent pre-running. Comp should end at 7:45- 8pm. Sound ok so far?

Sounds good to me, I wont be getting there till 7 at the earliest unless I can get off work early. Oh, by the way Scott, got my BTA figured out. I would say i get about 10 degree's more steering. Still not as much as you though. |

Good on th BTA chetly, will have to check it out. We can do tech quickly whenever drivers show up and sign in. Might have to run alittle long with these comps, but everyone should be done by 8:30 or so.
