These points and scale items are not 100% inclusive and can be added too as you come up with more and more ideas. For this Adventure, all scale rigs must have 10 scale points in order to meet the Adventure Theme.

1 point - Jerry Can (Maximum of 1)
1 point - Antennae (Maximum of 1)
1 point - Highlift Jack (Maximum of 1)

1 point - Non-Functioning Lights (2 or more with a maximum of 1 point)
1 point - Side mirrors (Maximum of 6,849)
1 point - Sleeping bag, shovel, cooler (no more than 1 of these items will be counted)

3 points - Interior
3 points - Rock rails
3 points - Truggy

Building tips;
• RC4WD Dirt Grabber and Mud Thrashers are awsome compounds as well as there 3 new tires the FlashPoints, Mudd Pluggers and Trail Busters. Also keep an eye out for the 1.9 Hammers by Pro-Line
• With a wheelbase restriction set at 11.5", Do you go for reach or clearance?
• Lights will be required! During the Night Event you will only be allowed to run under the light provided by your rig. All gate markers will have glow sticks to light the course path. No head lights, flashlights, etc will be allowed.
• There will be sand, dirt and lots of rock so come prepared.

Things to note;
• If you have an idea for a course or obstacle, don't hesitate to help with the course.
• Bring man made obstacles if you would like. The more the better
• If you are late to the event and we finish a course, you WILL get a DNS.

You have 2+ months to get ready for the event so start your builds and be sure to post up your ideas, builds and questions here, as they relate to the theme.

More detail can be found here;
http://utrcrc.freeforums.org/utrcrc-...re-v-t197.html

Thanks!!!

I really think it will be a ton of fun. We will have had 4 Adventures under our belts by this one and the feedback from the locals is really positive.

I'm also excited about this being the 1st Utah State Scale Championship. It seems like scale is taking on such a huge following lately that it seems like the naturaly thing for UTRCRC to take advantage of.

thats kind of silly about the tire modificatoin rule. I am a 1:1 offroader and me and my friends almost always modify the tread on our tires via cutting. I do the same with my 2.2's

It's what we've decided to do and has worked out really well. It's mostly aimed at stopping people from narrowing and reducing tires. I kind of doubt your friends are taking a tire that is meant for a 20" wheel and reducing it by taking a slice out of it so it works on a 17" wheel then cutting 6" out of the middle and gluing it back together to make a narrower tire

Also, all of UTRCRC scale comps have been about the building of the rigs & the challenge of making the best looking & performing rig within the rules.

Those are all good points.

You have to remember that there is competition to be had within the rules that have been set. UTRCRC has been running scale competitions for 5+ years now and the Adventure series has been the most successful move we have made to date. Having said that the coolest thing about our Adventures is that they change from Adventure to Adventure. For example we may have a CC-01 Adventure where we only allow CC-01's, OEM Bodies, 4" Tires, etc... Then on the next Adventure we change things up and only run American Made rigs with limitations and rules associated with them.

Each Adventure changes and so do the rules that come with it. That's what makes it fun, competative and most of all interesting

I'm in, thanks for the chance
I think I'm safe for points.... My Bronco has 17 as it sits now and will be at 25 once finished
This is an event I'm really looking forward to!

I am down like 4 flat tires, already started 2 builds, 1 for the trail class and 1 for the 108mm class. NICE!

I will bring both even though the 108mm is the only comp rig

I've switched all my scalers over to RC4WD tires. I've been super impressed by them

I'll probably be running the Flash Points at this event.

Maybe I'm missing something here Benjamin but I think there is only the 108 class at this event.

No problem. It would be fun to have another class but I know the Grand Master and Mighty Whorezilla Kaetwo wanted to keep this one simple.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! Is it here yet????

Fine, I'll be patient. There are two other Adventures that we are going to have before this one and they should be a ton of fun. In a couple weeks is the last of Adventure 3; 4" Max tires and and 10" max WB. There there is a more open single adventure that is 5" max tires and 12" max WB.
