801RCC '09 Comp, Event #9 "Utah State Champs"

801RCC '09 Comp, Event #9 "Utah State Champs"

This is a can't miss comp!!!
You get to crawl at one of the greatest crawling spots in the nation, with some of the top drivers too. With southern Utah's beautiful red rock we'd be crazy not to host our state champs there. If you haven't been to one of 801RCC's St George comps you really are missing out on one of the best crawling spots in the U.S. along with one of the best comps in the U.S.
Win "State Champs" and you're the the top dog in Utah for a year (even if you don't live in Utah, cough, cough, Jake). You'll have "groupies" "sponsors" and MurfDog wanting you to sign his chest after winning the prestigious "Utah stat champion" title.

-where-
Pioneer Park in St George Ut.
250 East Red Hills Parkway

St George is a nice town in the southwest corner of Utah. St George is home to some of the prettiest Red Rock in the word. With mountain biking, hiking, ATVing, Fishing, Gaming  and a few National Parks just miles away, St George is a perfect place for a "getaway".

It's going to be crazy if you could pull it off three years in a row. I don't know, a few of the guys from SG are saying they got it this year, home court advantage and practicing a ton. While some of the guys from the north end of the state are claiming they got the skills to take it this year. It's going to be interesting to see how everyone stacks up this year.

I don't know, last year I went to some comp in Moab around September to practice for the Utah State Champs... This year I've barely got to drive on any red rock at all

I'm looking forward to a great comp. We always have a blast out there

SPECIAL ED 09-03-2009 08:27 AM

So it looks like we have two (the Del Monte crew) out of state competitors coming. I guess the Sin City boys are not coming.

webster420 09-03-2009 09:12 AM

this comp is going to be awesome. we may have home court advantage but all you guys from the north are just flat out damn good drivers to. i hope i can at least do a little better then my 55th finish back in march haha.

LetsHandleit 09-03-2009 10:14 AM

Hell yea the SincityRCRC crew will be there.

PaloAltoK5 09-03-2009 02:03 PM

I plan on trying to convince Jeremy and at least Ted to try and get up there from here in Yuma, I have a score to settle with some rocks!!

<sigh> the TLT may be retiring...

...now if I could just get a hold of a Losi tranny...

dieselfuel 09-03-2009 08:39 PM

i'll be there! ill have my tuber and my berg there.

NaZ-T 09-07-2009 11:29 AM

Still have a month before this comp and I can't wait.
I haven't been able to practice as much as I'd like nor do I think I'll be able to get much in in the weeks do to just buying a house, so I hope I can stay on top of my game.

Mac10 09-09-2009 12:40 PM

my recent changes to my rig has got it performing better than it ever has.

soo... as long as i can drive well, I am bringing the HEAT this year!

I can't wait for this one!
I have had a room reserved since may!

they've had home court advantage the last 2 years and still couldn't pull it off...

It's definitely time for a new Utah State Champ, tho the trophy will be riding home in the same car as the last two

I bet they will be more of a force this year but I still think it's going to northern end of the state.

As much as I hope I win and want to title to come back to Utah, it would be bad ass if you won. You'd be the first female Ut St Champ not to mention the first female champion in R/C crawling period. (I think)

Good luck Jess.

dieselfuel 09-17-2009 08:03 PM

its looking like ill be there with a brand new, untested CDW berg. that is, if my lipos show up from china in time and i get it all wired up.

if not ill be running my TLT, no dig, tuber rock racer.

I actually think you should run your TLT rock racer. that would be awesome. that thing was freaking sweet at last weekends comp. i really wish you would have had your berg there tho.

Well lets hope this year the trophy will stay in utah. its going to be a awesome comp thats for sure. im getting so excited. were only 3 weeks away. there is going to be so damn good competition there.

SPECIAL ED 09-22-2009 04:38 PM

DeanO and I where down there this last weekend. I can't wait to get down there.
