Hi. For those who were at the Hyde Park competition on Oct 22, I hope that my son and I weren't too much of a distraction. I misjudged his interest in the trucks. Seemed like he was more into rock climbing than crawling.
I'd love to join this coming comp but can probably only make it out if it stays in or north of San Jose. Looking forward to seeing you all again.

Rckjeep is going to check out how Danna Rock Park is today and let us know if the grass/weeds are down enough for us to crawl there.

Busboy, your son was not a problem at all. I hope you can make it out this time to compete.

Well since Dave probably did not swing by Danna Rock Park today to see if it's covered in grass and weeds can someone else from SJ do it?

Thanks Badger. If it's held at Hyde Park, I'll be able to show up for sure.

Over-Rev, go to http://www.nor-calrcrc.com/index.php and click on "Crawling Locations" on the left. The Hyde Park info is at the top of the list. It's a great spot. Even if the comp doesn't end up happening there this time around, try to check it out sometime.

well I went by Dana Rock park and it's thining out but still very overgrown. I don't think that would be a good place till one of use goes in there with a weed eater.

Well I guess it should be at Hyde Park in San Carlos then since I do not have directions to the place in Fremont and we have no idea what it looks like, and the San Jose locations are over grown.

What do you guys/girl (rckjeep) think?

I'd like to change my vote from 'maybe' to 'yes'. How long do the competitions typically last? I wasn't there long enough to find out last time. ;)

It depends on how many people show, we have had comps last all day.

Possibly. Skipster71 said he would check out the place in Fremont and take some pics tomorrow and post them.

Well, I just got back from Hawaii and now I just resigned from my job, but I will be there.

I broke my rear axle while exploring new spots with the Badge a few weeks ago. I have to replace my axle housing when the ear broke off along with some steering arms. We had a great time crawling the Steven's Creek reservoir area with some overly technical canyons. I didn't bring my camera, but Badger took some pics. Did you post those up by chance?

See you guys this Saturday.

If you need loaner spares I've got all the parts you need along with a whole spare complete axle. Take your pick. If you are now Jobless same I can drop off the parts this afternoon. I'll be in Santa Clara later to pick up the GF. Call my cell. I'll PM youl

I have to work that afternoon so it sounds like I'm out.
