Default Nor-Cal 2005 - Rock Crawling Competition, Event #3

Nor-Cal 2005 - Rock Crawling Competition, Event #3

What: Event #3 for 2005
When: 3 Dec 05
Time: 9:00 AM Registration - 10:00 AM Competition Starts
Where: TBA
Directions: TBA

Details: Nor-Cal Crawlers are calling out all locals to participate in the Nor-Cal 2005 Rock Crawling event series. This series is starting late this year, but will be completed by the end of 2005. This is going to be a test of putting events together so we can prep for a big 2006 season(so don't get your panties in a bunch if things aren't perfect). There are 4 events planned placed 3 weeks apart to help you prepare yourself and rig for the next event. We have already blasted through 2 events and are now on the last half of the season. Event #3 will be held at an undecided location as of this post. It will be held on Saturday 12 Nov 05. Here is a list of all events for this season:
  • 01 Oct 05 - Hyde Park, San Carlos
  • 22 Oct 05 - Mini-Hammers, San Jose
  • 12 Nov 05 - Canceled
  • 03 Dec 05 - TBA

For the event location, I was thinking either Dana Rock Park (since we haven't been there for a while) or a new location by Steven's Creek Reservoir. I will try to gather photos to see if it is a potential spot that you guys might like. Otherwise, I am open for suggestions.

This will be a "bring what you have" event and vehicles will be run on the same courses using RCCrawler.com established rules. Any modifications to the rules will be agreed upon prior to the start of the event. You are limited to running 1 vehicle per class which may be limited further if there are too many entrants. Each vehicle will run in their own class running for their class points. Also, you will be running up against every other class for an over all points race. So this is the chance for the limited class crawlers to show that they can keep up with unlimited class type rigs. So in the end, you will see a ranking of how you did in your class and overall amongst all competitors.

Good luck and we will see you on the rocks.

Note: This posting will be revised to clarify information for the event.

Trying to give you guys some advance notice for this comp even though the schedule has been posted since the first comp.

I will be there for sure. I sold my RXB comp TLT so if I don't have my new one finished in time I will have to compete in the 2.2 class with my bruiser.

I am looking forward to competing again!

I'm in I hope to have the trail Toyota truggy done too. Oh shiat! thats not that far away. I'd better get to work. I'd be up for it at hollister, depending on if I work that night. If I do I'd only be able to make a SJ comp.

Whare is that? If it is all the way south by watsonlille count me out. I will just stay at work and save the gas. SJ is far enough at this time of year. Sorry

yeah its over in hollister, and it cost 6 bucks to get in but you can park down at the registration area and pack into a car and only pay for one rig.

but they won't let a car or 2 wheel drive vehicle in unless you pay for overnight camping. Maybe Hollister isn't such a good idea. It's 45-60 minutes south of SJ.
