I'm sort of surprised how much everyone is getting wrapped around the axle about this whole raffle. I'm happy everyone is excited, but I hope your coming for the competition and the rocks too!

As stated in the first post. Every competitor/driver will get 5 FREE raffle tickets - I'm giving your entry fee back to you in Raffle Tickets (actually that and more).

Additional Raffle tickets will be given out as prizes throughout the day to the first competitors who complete each course and the bonus lines, possible even more.

As well, Raffle tickets will be available to purchase. You will be able to purchase them all day long until the last prize is given out.

My intentions are to start pulling items mid-day and handing out prizes as the day progresses so we are not waiting all day at the end of the event.

I would like everyone to focus on the event and focus on competing...so nobody has to worry about loosing their prize or hearing their name pulled. I will make it very clear, I am not running this raffle like the last two events at Donner.

Lets put things into perspective. I'm flattered that we would get compared to some of these big recent events, but unlike some of these larger events we are not charging $25 to $100 that compete. (Not that I would even make that comparison to begin with). It's only $5 and I'm going to more than give that back to you.

The $450 kitty to the top 5 and trophies should be more than enough to warrant attending and the cost of the entry fee, shouldn't it?

The raffle is really secondary. It's something I'm working very hard on to just make the comp even that more special for everyone coming.

Have some faith in me...I have a lot of experience with this guys, I've been doing events like this for many years. Trust me, you'll have a good time and lots of guys will walk away with something.

I am NOT going because I WOULD have to spend 8 hours with ROCKCAD!... Just kidding. Man, It is really hurting to have to miss this. Sounds like it is going to be a great time.

Several of us will be starting a support group for just that issue and how to deal with it. Maybe we'll have an intervention for those who want to spend that much time with him. I'll bring the cuffs.

You guys need to quit worrying/whining about the raffle. Just be thankful that there is going to be one!....If you don't like the way its ran, then you don't have to come...We don't want you to come and hear you complain. Mike is doing this for us, he has spent alot of time getting this together and making sure its done right. When you guys complain, it takes the fun out of this event, and makes him think twice about doing something like this again....BE GRATEFUL.
