Body rules and forcing people to look scale is kinda silly. Then everyone should run a metal frame, metal rod ends, metal links, driveshafted rig, front SINGLE engine, etc etc. Maybe having a scale class, but forcing everyone else to fall into that... no.

How is 20 X 16 using Jason's "BOX" idea Tires must be those intended, and sold for RC Vehicle use! As far as other classes lets get the OPEN class set up 1st. (Most popular)

I agree with dave i think the body rules are silly, the only body rule that we should have is it should look like a drivable truck, tube or lexan. And what would be wrong with cuting fenders? so on your 1:1 you dont cut them when runing big tires? Classes should be split up by tire size kong , maxx and 2.2. Tubers should be classed in with the rest, in rc i dont see much of an advantage. Size and weight shouldnt matter either if your limited to kongs how much bigger can you build the rig? anyone with a 20" wb weighing 25 lbs is going to have a plenty difficult time. |

20 x 16 is crazy we have tlts that big in our group of crawlers. Ill measure my truck after a bit but I think that is just too small, especially for those of you who are running a 17" wheelbase that means you could only run a 3' tall tire. With a lst tire you would have to run about a 14" wheelbase. Sorry folks but we like to run trucks that wheel, not ones that fit inside the box |

I've never been to a comp where there were some trucks that dominated so much that a different class was needed. Most of our rigs are very capable and I would say that on any given day, anyones rig could win an event. Kongs, long wheel base, good motors, Giant Tracs, Clod based, shaft based......those are not all advantages...just differences. They all have their pros and cons. I think everyone is getting technical for technical sake! What I think is that there is only two class needed. Stock/modified...and...Super Modified. Let the judges decide at what point the truck is "Super Modified" by looking at what the builder has done to his rig. The biggest events only have 15-20 trucks. With all this "class" talk, there will be 15-20 classes with one truck in each!!! Let's keep it simple. Like I said, there is very little differentiation between many of our trucks as for performance and I've seen slightly modified TXT's outperform highly modified rock buggies with tons of money and work put into them. They all should be in the same class or have two classes: example: Stock/Modified: TXT with better tires, good motors and some lower gearing(stock wheel base, stock suspension, etc) Supermodified: Unlimited engineering, any size and length, use of any RC Car or Truck tire, etc. |

Only thing I'd alter here is... Stock/Modified: = 2WS & no Kongs Supermodified: = What-ever in the hell you want! Just don't be a whiner when you break, lose or get some smack talked to you about your sucky driving... this is the big boy class with zero restrictions... WHAT-EVER GOES! Then add this for those who "need" it.... 2.2 & smaller: = 2.2 tires and smaller, what-ever type of rig, just limited to tire size. Then there would be 3 seperate classes and everyone could understand it, without any complications. Here, make this it and lets just stop 1. 2.2 & smaller: Small fries 2. Stock/Modified: 2WS & no Kongs 3. Supermodified: BIG BOYS!
